The 1989–90 North West Counties Football League season was the eighth in the history of the North West Counties Football League, a football competition in England. Teams were divided into two divisions: Division One and Division Two. North West Counties Football League
The North West Counties Football League is a association football, football league in the North West England, North West of England. Since 2019–20, the league has covered the Isle of Man, Cheshire, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside, Cumbria, northern Staffordshire, northern Shropshire, the far west of West Yorkshire, and the High Peak, Derbyshire, High Peak area of Derbyshire. In the past, the league has also hosted clubs from North Wales such as Caernarfon Town F.C., Caernarfon Town, Colwyn Bay F.C., Colwyn Bay, and Rhyl F.C., Rhyl. From season 2018–19 the league increased to three divisions: the Premier Division, at level nine (Step 5 the NLS) in the English football league system, and two geographically separate Division Ones, North and South, at level ten (Step 6 in the NLS). Maghull F
Maghull ( ) is a town and civil parish in Sefton, Merseyside, England. The town is north of Liverpool and west of Kirkby. The town is also the location of Ashworth Hospital. Maghull had a population of 20,444 at the 2011 Census. Housing in the town is almost entirely a 20th-century settlement of semi-detached and detached housing although remains of the original town do exist. The town has had an elected council since the Local Government Act 1894 when the government set up a network of local governance across England. Following the Local Government Act 1974, the council changed its name from a parish to a town council. Formby is a town and civil parish in the Metropolitan Borough of Sefton, Merseyside, England. Historically in Lancashire, three manors are recorded in the Domesday Book of 1086 under "Fornebei", Halsall, Walton and Poynton. Cockle raking and shrimp fishing lasted into the 19th century.
