The 1989 Stella Artois professional tennis tournament was part of the ATP World Tour and was held in Milan, Italy. Jakob Hlasek
Jakob Hlasek ( cz, Jakub Hlásek; born 12 November 1964) is a Swiss former professional tennis player of Czech origin. He won a major doubles title at the 1992 French Open, partnering Marc Rosset. Career The major highlights of Hlasek's career came in 1992. He won the French Open men's doubles title that year (partnering fellow Swiss player Marc Rosset). He was also a member of Switzerland Davis Cup team which reached the final of the 1992 Davis Cup (where they were defeated by the United States), and won the 1992 Hopman Cup (partnering Manuela Maleeva-Fragnière). Slobodan Živojinović
Slobodan "Bobo" Živojinović ( sr-cyr, Слободан Живојиновић, ; born 23 July 1963) is a Serbian former professional tennis player who competed for SFR Yugoslavia. Together with Nenad Zimonjić, he is the only tennis player from Serbia to be the world No. 1 in doubles. As a singles player, he reached the semifinals of the 1985 Australian Open and the 1986 Wimbledon Championships, achieving a career-high ranking of world No. 19 in October 1987. Anders Järryd
Anders Per Järryd (; born 13 July 1961) is a former professional tennis player from Sweden. During his career he won eight Grand Slam doubles titles (three French Open, two Wimbledon, two US Open, one Australian Open), reached the world No. 1 doubles ranking, and achieved a career-high singles ranking of world No. 5. Tore Meinecke
Tore Meinecke (born 21 July 1967) is a former professional tennis player from West Germany. Career As a junior, Meinecke won the Orange Bowl doubles champion 16-under in 1982 (partnering Boris Becker) and was runner-up at the European Junior Championships (w/Becker). He turned pro in 1983. During his professional career, Meinecke won two doubles titles. He achieved a career-high singles ranking of world No. 46 in May 1988 and a career-high doubles ranking of No. 46 in July 1987. Massimiliano Narducci
Massimiliano Narducci (born 25 February 1964) is a former professional tennis player from Italy. Narducci won his only tournament on the ATP Tour in 1988 at Florence. He also appeared in the singles draw of all four Grand Slams, making the second round in both Australia and France. In the Australian Open he defeated American player Mike Bauer in five sets. He met fifth seed Yannick Noah in the next round and took the first set off him, in a tiebreak, but then lost the next three sets. Omar Camporese (; born 8 May 1968) is a former professional tennis player from Italy. Career Born in Bologna, Camporese turned professional in 1987. He reached his first top-level singles final in 1990 at San Marino, where he lost to Guillermo Pérez Roldán 6–3, 6–3. In 1991, Camporese won his first tour singles title in Rotterdam, defeating Ivan Lendl in the final 3–6, 7–6, 7–6. Milan Šrejber () (born 30 December 1963) is a former tennis player from Czechoslovakia, who represented his native country at the 1988 Summer Olympics in Seoul. Miloslav Mečíř
Miloslav Mečíř (; born 19 May 1964) is a Slovak former professional tennis player. He won the men's singles gold medal at the 1988 Olympic Games, representing Czechoslovakia, and contested two major singles finals. In 1987 he won the WCT Finals, the season-ending championship for the World Championship Tennis tour. His son Miloslav Jr. is also a former professional tennis player. Michiel Schapers (born 11 October 1959) is a former tennis player from the Netherlands.
