Canadian Football League East Division
The East Division is one of the two regional divisions of the Canadian Football League, its counterpart being the West Division. Although the CFL was not founded until 1958, the East Division and its clubs are descended from earlier leagues. The four teams in the division are the Toronto Argonauts, Hamilton Tiger-Cats, Montreal Alouettes, and Ottawa Redblacks. Steve Goldman (coach)
Steven E. "Steve" Goldman (born 1945) is an American financial advisor and former gridiron football coach. He is a Senior Vice President and Financial Advisor with UBS. From 1989 to 1991 he was head coach of the Ottawa Rough Riders of the Canadian Football League. Early life Goldman was born on February 8, 1945, in Brooklyn. He played Tight end for the Colorado State Rams football team. College coaching In 1966, Goldman began his coaching career as a graduate assistant under Bill Peterson at Florida State. While there, he also earned his Master of Science degree. In 1968, he became the backs and receivers coach at Clearwater High School. At Clearwater, Goldman and head coach Earle Brown installed a pro-set offense. In 1969, Clearwater wide receiver Joel Parker was named a ''Parade'' All-American and Class 2A all-state player. Robert Ferguson (July 1, 1931November 23, 2014) was a Canadian sports journalist and writer. He began in journalism with ''The London Free Press'' from 1952 to 1964, and was colour commentator for baseball games broadcast on CFPL (AM). He also served as the official statistician of the Intercounty Baseball League from 1958 to 1966, and owned the London Majors, London Pontiacs in the same league during the 1963 and 1964 seasons. He later worked for the ''Ottawa Citizen'' from 1967 to 1996, and was the paper's first writer assigned to cover the Montreal Expos. Hamilton Tiger-Cats
The Hamilton Tiger-Cats are a professional Canadian football team based in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada. They are currently members of the East Division of the Canadian Football League (CFL). Ottawa Rough Riders
The Ottawa Rough Riders were a Canadian Football League team based in Ottawa, Ontario, founded in 1876. Formerly one of the oldest and longest-lived professional sports teams in North America, the Rough Riders won the Grey Cup championship nine times. Their most dominant era was the 1960s and 1970s, in which they won five Grey Cups. The team's fortunes waned in the 1980s and 1990s, and they ultimately ceased operations following the 1996 CFL season, 1996 season.
