1987–88 Austrian Cup
The 1987–88 Austrian Cup (german: ÖFB-Cup) was the 54th season of Austria's nationwide football cup competition. The final was played over two legs, on 24 May 1988 at the Stadion, Krems and on 1 June 1988 at the Tivoli, Innsbruck. The competition was won by Kremser SC after beating Swarovski Tirol on away goals rule after the tie finished 3–3 on aggregate. Wiener Sport-Club
The Wiener Sport-Club, sometimes abbreviated as WSC, was established in 1883 in Vienna, Austria and is one of the country's oldest athletics clubs. Their traditional home is in the Dornbach quarter of the city ( 17th district). History At various times throughout its history the club has had departments for fencing, boxing, wrestling, cycling, handball, track and field, field hockey, tennis, squash, football and water polo. The football team enjoyed success in Austria National Championship in 1922, 1958 and 1959. Their 1958 season included an impressive 7–0 victory over Juventus in European Champions Cup. Two bankruptcies in the 1990s eventually led the team to slip into the lower leagues. Salzburger AK 1914
Salzburger AK 1914 is a football club based in the city of Salzburg, Austria who currently plays in the 3rd tier Regionalliga Salzburg. It was founded in 1914 and is the oldest football club from that city. History The club was formed by pupils from a nearby school. In 1914 the club was officially formed and played their first match against FC Traunstein. The first match was lost by 1:4. Nevertheless before the Second World War the SAK 1914 was the most successful football club in Salzburg. 1934, 1935 and 1937 they reached the final of the Austrian amateur championship. Eduard Kainberger, Karl Kainberger, Ernst Bacher and Adolf Laudon, the players of SAK, were part of the 1936 Olympic squad, where runners-up Austria won the Silver medal. History Sk Slovan HAC was founded on 11 January 1902 as '' Sportovni Klub Slovan ve Vídni'' - better known as ''SK Slovan'' - by the Czech minority in Vienna. They were promoted to the Austrian First Division in 1923, and built a new stadium - the České srdce (now known as the ''Generali Arena''). FC Linz was an Austrian football club, based in Linz, Upper Austria.
