1987 PBA All-Filipino Conference
The 1987 Philippine Basketball Association (PBA) All-Filipino Conference was the second conference of the 1987 PBA season. It started on July 12 and ended on September 8, 1987. The tournament is an All-Filipino format, which doesn't require an import or a pure-foreign player for each team. PBA On Vintage Sports
The PBA on Vintage Sports was a branding used for presentation of Philippine Basketball Association games produced by Vintage Sports, a sports-oriented media company and was aired on Philippine television networks City2 Television from 1982 to 1984, Maharlika Broadcasting System (later renamed as People's Television Network) from 1985 to 1995, and Intercontinental Broadcasting Corporation from 1996 to 1999. History In 1982, the PBA awarded the broadcast rights of its games to Vintage Enterprises, Inc., a company owned by Carlos "Bobong" Velez and signed a P5.4 million deal with the league. Games were aired on City2 Television, with the second game of a doubleheader aired live and the first game followed afterwards on a delayed basis. Yves Arones Dignadice (born December 18, 1964) is a Filipino former professional basketball player who spent fourteen seasons in the Philippine Basketball Association, mostly with the San Miguel Beermen. Early life and career Yves was born and raised in Jaro, Iloilo City. A pick-up from the Visayan cage recruit. His first taste of competitive basketball was when he participated in a community tournament. After doing time with a Chinese high school, the 6-4 slotman transferred to the West Negros College in Bacolod. Even though he was only in High School, Yves showed a brand of play good enough to earn him a slot with the Western Visayas Regional Athletic Association selection (Region VI) that participated in the 1983 Palarong Pambansa held in Tacloban, Leyte. The Philippine Institute of Sports Multi-Purpose Arena or PhilSports Arena is an indoor arena, indoor sporting arena located inside the PhilSports Complex in Pasig, Philippines. It was formerly known as the University of Life Theater and Recreational Arena or the ULTRA. The arena is part of the PhilSports Complex which is maintained by the Philippine Sports Commission. The 1987 Tanduay Rhum Makers season was the 13th and final season of the franchise in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). Transactions Notable dates March 22: Tanduay overturned Great Taste on import David Thirdkill's shot with a foul from Michael Young in the last three seconds to escape with a 105-104 protested win in the second game of the season opener. The 1987 Formula Shell Spark Aiders season was the third season of the franchise in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). Known as Shell Azocord Super Bugbusters in the Reinforced Conference. Transactions Trades Occurrences Head coach Edgardo Ocampo was replaced by national team coach Joe Lipa starting the Third Conference after two dismal conferences by the team. Import Dexter Shouse suddenly left after leading Shell to six wins and two losses in the Third Conference, taking his place is another former Shell import Dwight Anderson. The Barangay Ginebra San Miguel is a professional basketball team in the Philippine Basketball Association (PBA). The most popular team in the league, it is owned by Ginebra San Miguel, Inc.
