European Women's Artistic Gymnastics Championships
The European Women's Gymnastics Championships are an artistic championships for female gymnasts from European countries organised by the European Union of Gymnastics. They are held annually, though rotate between two different formats. History Originally held biannually in odd-numbered years, the championships moved to even-numbered years in 1990. In 2005 a second set of championships was introduced, titled the "individual championships". Daniela Silivaș
Daniela Viorica Silivaș-Harper (; born 9 May 1972), is a Romanian former artistic gymnast best known for medaling in every single event at one Olympics, winning six medals (three gold, two silver, and one bronze) at the 1988 Summer Games in Seoul. In doing so, she was the fourth female gymnast to achieve this, after Maria Gorokhovskaya (1952), Larisa Latynina (1960, 1964) and Věra Čáslavská (1968). As of 2021, Silivaș is the only one athlete, male or female, having accomplished this feat, in the Modern Era of Artistic Gymnastics, in a non-boycotted Olympics (Alexander Dityatin is the single male, who won medals in every event, in Moscow 1980). Diana Dudeva
Diana Genkova Dudeva (; born July 7, 1968) is a Bulgarian former artistic gymnast. She competed at the 1988 Summer Olympics and won the bronze medal on floor exercise. As of 2023, Dudeva is the only female Bulgarian artistic gymnast to win a medal at the Olympics. Career Dudeva was a member of the Bulgarian team that finished fourth at the 1983 World Championships. Her individual result in the team event was 29th, but she did not advance to the all-around final (top 36) as there were three other Bulgarian gymnasts ahead of her. In 1985, Dudeva finished seventh in the all-around at the European Championships, where she also reached three of the four event finals; vault (6th), bars (6th) and beam (8th). She went on to finish 24th in the all-around at the 1985 World Championships, where the Bulgarian's once again finished fourth in the team event. Dörte Thümmler (born 29 October 1971) is a German former gymnast. She competed for the SC Dynamo Berlin / Sportvereinigung (SV) Dynamo, and competed for East Germany. She won many international competitions. In 1987, she was World Champion on the uneven bars (tied with Daniela Silivaș). Thümmler's career was ended at the age of 16 from back pain. She worked as a restaurant clerk, but had to retire at age 38 due to ill health, in part caused by the effects of forced state-sponsored doping. Her stepfather, Manfred Thümmler, was head of sports medicine at SC Dynamo Berlin The Sports Club Dynamo Berlin was an East German sports club that existed from 1954 to 1991.
