The 1986 FIFA World Cup qualification UEFA Group 6 was a UEFA qualifying group for the 1986 FIFA World Cup. The group comprised Denmark, Norway, Republic of Ireland, Soviet Union and Switzerland. The group was won by Denmark with the Soviet Union as the runners up. Both teams qualified for the 1986 FIFA World Cup. Johannes "Jan" Nicolaus Ignacius Keizer (6 October 1940 – 18 November 2024) was a Dutch football referee. He refereed two matches in the 1986 FIFA World Cup in Mexico, and one match in the 1984 UEFA European Football Championship in France. Keizer was a FIFA referee during the period from 1974, to 1987. Lansdowne Road Stadium (, ) was a stadium in Dublin owned by the Irish Rugby Football Union (IRFU) that was primarily used for rugby union and association football matches. Michael Anthony Walsh (born 13 August 1954) is a former professional footballer who works as a football agent. A striker, he spent his club career in England and Portugal. Born in England, he played for the Republic of Ireland national team at international level. Club career Walsh began his professional career at Blackpool in 1973, making his debut in a goalless draw at Fulham on 12 September. He went on to score 72 league goals for the Seasiders in 180 games during his five years at the club.
