1986 FIFA World Cup Group F
Group F of the 1986 FIFA World Cup was one of the groups of the 1986 FIFA World Cup. The group's first round of matches began on 2 June and its last matches were played on 11 June. Most matches were played at the Estadio Universitario (UANL), Estadio Universitario and the Estadio Tecnológico in Monterrey. After the first four matches yielded just two goals, locals dubbed it the "Group of Sleep". Morocco national football team, Morocco surprisingly topped the group, joined in the second round by England national football team, England and Poland national football team, Poland. 1986 FIFA World Cup
The 1986 FIFA World Cup was the 13th FIFA World Cup, a quadrennial football tournament for men's senior national teams. It was played in Mexico from 31 May to 29 June 1986. The tournament was the second to feature a 24-team format. Colombia had been originally chosen to host the competition by FIFA but, largely due to economic reasons, was not able to do so, and resigned in 1982. Mexico was selected as the new host in May 1983, and became the first country to host the World Cup more than once, after previously hosting in 1970. The World Cup was won by Argentina (their second title, after winning in 1978). Argentina was captained by the 25-year-old Diego Maradona, who played a large part in his team's success by scoring his " Hand of God" goal, as well as another voted "Goal of the Century", in the same quarter-final against England. Roman Wójcicki
Roman Wójcicki (born 8 January 1958) is a Polish former football player and manager. He played as a defender for clubs including Odra Opole, Śląsk Wrocław, Widzew Łódź, FC Homburg (West Germany) and Hannover 96 (West Germany). Playing career Wójcicki was born in Nysa. He played for the Poland national team, making 62 appearances and scoring two goals. Dariusz Kubicki
Dariusz Jan Kubicki (born 6 June 1963) is a Polish football manager and a former player. Playing career He played for a few clubs, including Stal Mielec, Legia Warsaw, he then went to England and played for Aston Villa, Sunderland, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Tranmere Rovers, Carlisle United and Darlington. He played little part in the Aston Villa teams which came second in the 1993 Premier League and won the 1994 Football League Cup, but played a more active part in Sunderland's promotion to the Premier League in 1996. Józef Młynarczyk (born 20 September 1953) is a Polish former professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. After representing three clubs in his homeland he played out the remainder of his career in France and Portugal, winning seven major titles with Porto during his one-and-a-half-season spell. Młynarczyk played more 40 times with Poland, appearing in two World Cups with the country. He was named African Footballer of the Year in 1985, and was the last player to win this award while playing club football in an African country. Abdelmajid Dolmy (; 20 August 1953 – 27 July 2017) was a Moroccan footballer who played as a midfielder. He was nicknamed "Maestro".
