1985 Copa Libertadores Finals
The 1985 Copa Libertadores de América Finals was the final contested by Argentinian club Argentinos Juniors and Colombian América de Cali. The first leg of the tie was played on 17 October at Estádio Monumental, the second leg played on 22 October at Estadio Olímpico Pascual Guerrero, and the playoff on 24 October at Defensores del Chaco. After both teams won one game each (by the same score, 1–0), Argentinos Juniors finally crowned champion in the playoff match held in Asunción. Emilio Commisso
Emilio Nicolás Commisso (born 5 November 1956 in Córdoba) is a former Argentine footballer. He played for a number of clubs in Argentina and Spain. Commisso started his professional career in 1976 with River Plate. During his seven years playing at the club, they won five league titles. Commisso played 218 league games for River, scoring 27 goals. In 1984, he joined Argentinos Juniors, he played for the club during their golden age, winning two league titles the Copa Libertadores 1985 and the Copa Interamericana, they also played in the Copa Intercontinental against Juventus of Italy. Commisso left Argentinos in 1988 to join Talleres de Córdoba but he only stayed one season before joining Xerez in Spain. Ricardo Gareca
Ricardo Alberto Gareca Nardi (; born 10 February 1958), nicknamed ''el Tigre'' and ''el Flaco'' ("Tiger " and "Slim"), is an Argentine football manager and former player. Gareca was the manager of the Peru national team, with his contract ending in July 14, 2022. During his playing career, Gareca played for four of the most important teams in Argentina (Boca Juniors, River Plate, Vélez Sársfield and Independiente). Willington José Ortiz Palacio (born March 26, 1952 in Tumaco) is a Colombian former professional footballer who played as forward or winger. He played 49 times for the Colombia national team scoring 12 goals and is the top Colombian player in the IFFHS's rank of ''South American Player of the Century''. Roberto Cabañas González (11 April 1961 – 9 January 2017) was a Paraguayan footballer who played as a forward. Mario Hernán Videla (born 28 January 1962 in Mendoza) is a former Argentine footballer. He played for Argentinos Juniors during their golden era in the 1980s, he also won two league championships with Millonarios in Colombia. Videla started his professional career with Gimnasia y Esgrima de Mendoza in the early 1980s. In 1982, he joined Argentinos Juniors shortly after the sale of Diego Maradona to Boca Juniors. Sergio Daniel "Checho" Batista (; born 9 November 1962) is an Argentine football manager and former international player. As a footballer he played as a midfield for Argentinos Juniors, River Plate, Nueva Chicago, Tosu Futures and All Boys. Jorge Mario Olguín (born 17 May 1952 in Dolores, Buenos Aires) is a retired Argentine footballer who played as a defender. He is perhaps most famous for having been part of the 1978 World Cup winning team. Since his retirement as a player he has managed a number of football clubs. Playing career Mostly deployed as a centre back in club football, Olguín was positioned as a right back with the national team by coach César Luis Menotti.
