Uchuu Keiji Shaider
is a tokusatsu television show that aired from March 2, 1984 to March 8, 1985. It is the last of the "Space Sheriff Series" of the broader Metal Hero Series franchise, the previous two being ''Space Sheriff Gavan'' and ''Space Sheriff Sharivan''. Action footage from ''Shaider'' was used for Season 2 of ''VR Troopers''. For distribution purposes, Toei refers to this television series as ''Space Captain Sheider''. Plot In college studying archaeology, Dai Sawamura deciphers the symbols of the Nazca Lines in Peru. Impressed by this feat, the recruit and train him to be Earth's third Space Sheriff. He's given the code name ''Shaider'' in memory of an ancient warrior who defeated Emperor Kubilai and brought down his Fuuma Empire 12,000 years ago. Uchuu Keiji Sharivan
is the second installment in Toei's Metal Hero Series franchise and aired on TV Asahi from March 4, 1983 to February 24, 1984. It served as a direct sequel to its predecessor, ''Space Sheriff Gavan'' and featured many of the same characters. It was aired in the Philippines on RPN from 1986 to 1987. For distribution purposes, Toei refers to this television series as ''Space Guardian Shariban''. Plot Initially appearing in ''Space Sheriff Gavan'', Den Iga is attacked by a monster called Buffalo Doubler, member of the Space Mafia Makuu. Den is seriously injured in the attack when he is found by Gavan, who takes him to Planet Bird for medical assistance. Qom, leader of the , is impressed by Den's courage. is a Japanese manga series written and illustrated by Mitsuru Adachi. It was published by Shogakukan from 1980 to 1984 in the biweekly List of manga magazines, manga magazine ''Shōnen Big Comic'' (precursor to the current ''Weekly Young Sunday''). The series was Film adaptation, adapted into a movie, an anime television series, and a live-action television drama. It was very popular in Japan and was one of the winners of the 1982 Shogakukan Manga Award for shōnen and shōjo manga, along with Adachi's ''Touch (manga), Touch''. is the seventh installment of Toei Company's Super Sentai metaseries. It aired on TV Asahi from February 5, 1983, to January 28, 1984, replacing ''Dai Sentai Goggle-V'' and was replaced by ''Choudenshi Bioman'' with a total of 51 episodes.
