The American League East is one of Major League Baseball's six divisions. MLB consists of an East, Central, and West division for each of its two 15-team leagues, the American League (AL) and National League (NL). This division was created before the start of the season along with the American League West division. Before that time, each league consisted of 10 teams without any divisions. Four of the division's five teams are located in the Eastern United States, with the other team, the Toronto Blue Jays, in Eastern Canada. Colbert Dale (Toby) Harrah (born October 26, 1948) is an American former professional baseball player. He played as a shortstop and third baseman in Major League Baseball from to . Harrah played the majority of his career for the Texas Rangers franchise, including his rookie season during the team's final year as the ( Washington Senators era) in 1971. He also played for the Cleveland Indians and the New York Yankees. In 1992, he briefly served as manager of the Rangers. Harrah most recently served as the assistant hitting coach for the Detroit Tigers. Donald Arthur Schulze (born September 27, 1962) is a former Major League Baseball pitcher and current minor league pitching coach. Schulze graduated from Lake Park High School in 1981. He pitched all or part of six seasons in the majors, between and , for the Chicago Cubs, Cleveland Indians, New York Mets, New York Yankees, and San Diego Padres. Gerald Raymond Ujdur (born March 5, 1957) is a former Major League Baseball pitcher. Ujdur pitched in all or part of five seasons from through . Ujdur played college baseball for the Minnesota Golden Gophers. He was selected by the Detroit Tigers in the fourth round of the 1978 Major League Baseball Draft, and began his career with the Lakeland Tigers that year, finishing with a 5-2 win-loss record and a 2.39 earned run average (ERA). After pitching in 19 games for the Montgomery Rebels in 1979, he started the 1980 season with the Evansville Triplets. He went 9-4 with a 3.37 ERA before he was promoted to the main Tigers roster.
