Bodybuilding is the use of progressive resistance exercise to control and develop one's muscles (muscle building) by muscle hypertrophy for aesthetic purposes. Chris Dickerson (bodybuilder)
Henri Christophe Dickerson (August 25, 1939 – December 23, 2021) was an American professional bodybuilder. Early life Dickerson was born in Montgomery, Alabama, on August 25, 1939. He was the youngest of triplets. His mother, Mahala Ashley Dickerson, was a lawyer and civil rights advocate for women and minorities. He graduated high school at Olney Friends School in 1957. Bodybuilding career One of the world's most titled bodybuilders, Dickerson's competitive career spanned thirty years; he was known for both his heavily muscled, symmetrical physique and for his skills on the posing dais. Ed Corney (November 9, 1933 – January 1, 2019) was an American professional bodybuilder. He won many prizes in his 30s, including Mr. Universe twice (in 1971 and 1972), and Mr. America once (in 1972). He resumed competitive bodybuilding in his 60s, when he won the 60+ division of the Masters Olympia twice. He appeared in the 1977 docudrama ''Pumping Iron'', as well as the " Dead Lift" episode from ''The Streets of San Francisco'' broadcast that same year (in which Arnold Schwarzenegger played one of his first prominent roles).
