1983 Lilian Cup
The 1983 Lilian Cup was the 2nd season of the competition. The four top placed teams for the 1982–83 Liga Leumit, previous season took part in the competition. The competition was held in two stages. First, the four teams played a round-robin tournament, after which the two top teams played for the cup, while the bottom teams played for the third place. The competition was held between 3 September and 13 September 1983. The competition was won by Maccabi Netanya F.C., Maccabi Netanya, who had beaten Hapoel Be'er Sheva F.C., Hapoel Be'er Sheva 3–2 in the final. Lilian Cup
The Lililan Cup ( he, גביע ליליאן, ''Gvia Lililan''), which was also known as The League Cup ( he, גביע הליגה, ''Gvia HaLiga'') was an Israeli men's football competition open to the top 4 clubs in Liga Leumit between 1981–82 and 1988–89. Vasermil Stadium
The Arthur Vasermil Municipal Stadium was a football stadium in Be’er Sheva, Israel. The stadium was designed as an open bowl (though a small part of one side was covered). At one stage it had a running track that was later bricked over. In its final form the stadium was all-seated with a capacity of 13,000. History The stadium was the home ground of Hapoel Be'er Sheva from its opening in 1959. Initially known as the Municipal Stadium, it was renamed in 1988 when the mother of Arthur Vasermil financed stadium refurbishment work; Vasermil was murdered at Majdanek concentration camp during the Holocaust at the age of seven. During the 2005–06 season, it also served as the home ground for Maccabi Be'er Sheva for their Liga Leumit season, as their ground did not meet the required standard for Liga Leumit. Eli Uzan
Eli Uzan ( he, אלי אוזן) (21 March 1963 – 23 November 2009) was an Israeli footballer who played for Hapoel Be'er Sheva, Hapoel Tel Aviv and Tzafririm Holon. Uzan began his career at Be'er Sheva during the 1980-81 season. In 1983, he was called up to the Israel national team's Olympics squad, playing a single match against Belgium. In 1984, he moved to Hapoel Tel Aviv, where he played until 1992. Between 1992 and 1994 he played for Tzafririm Holon. In November 2009 Uzan was found dead in his car, it having crashed into a pole on Levi Eshkol Road in Beersheba. Ephraim (; he, ''ʾEp̄rayīm'', in pausa: ''ʾEp̄rāyīm'') was, according to the Book of Genesis, the second son of Joseph ben Jacob and Asenath. Asenath was an Ancient Egyptian woman whom Pharaoh gave to Joseph as wife, and the daughter of Potipherah, a priest of ʾĀwen. Ephraim was born in Egypt before the arrival of the Israelites from Canaan. The Book of Numbers lists three sons of Ephraim: Shuthelah, Beker, and Tahan.
