The 1983 Cork Intermediate Hurling Championship was the 74th staging of the Cork Intermediate Hurling Championship since its establishment by the Cork County Board in 1909. The draw for the opening round fixtures took place on 30 January 1983. The championship began on 8 May 1983 and ended on 23 October 1983. On 23 October 1983, Cloughduv won the championship following a 1-14 to 1-06 defeat of Ballinhassig in the final at Ballinora Sportsfield. Fermoy GAA is a Gaelic Athletic Association based in the town of Fermoy, Cork, Ireland. The club fields teams in competitions organized by the Cork GAA county board and the Avondhu GAA divisional board. The club plays both Gaelic football and hurling. Kilworth GAA
Kilworth GAA, or ''Cill Úird'', is a hurling and Gaelic football club located in the village of Kilworth in the north-eastern corner of County Cork, Ireland. It is affiliated to Cork GAA county board and to Avondhu GAA divisional board. History It was affiliated in 1928 as a football Club and 1933 as a hurling Club, and two years later saw Kilworth gain their first honours when they captured the Novice hurling championship at Dromina's expense. A long period elapsed before Kilworth once again tasted championship success, this being the 1961 North Cork Junior hurling championship. Kildorrery were the opponents on the day but Kilworth proved too strong winning out on a score line of 3–5 to 1–4. Glen Rovers GAA
Glen Rovers is a Cork (city), Cork-based Gaelic Athletic Association club based in Blackpool, Cork, Ireland. The club was founded in 1916 and is primarily concerned with the game of hurling. They were Cork senior hurling champions in 2015 and 2016, having won their first title in 26 years in 2015. They retained the championship in 2016, when they beat Erin's Own in the final. Ballinhassig () is a village in County Cork, Ireland, situated south of Cork City just off the N71 Bandon road and near the source of the River Owenabue (''Abhainn Bui'', meaning "Yellow River"). Bandon GAA is a Gaelic football and Hurling club based in Bandon in County Cork, Republic of Ireland. The club is affiliated with Carbery division of Cork. In 2007, Bandon won the West Cork Junior A Football Championship, beating Muintir Bhaire in the final. The club's hurling team meanwhile were runners-up in the Cork Intermediate Hurling Championship.
