Stan Albeck
Charles Stanley Albeck (May 17, 1931 – March 25, 2021) was an American professional basketball coach. Albeck coached for several teams in the American Basketball Association (ABA) and National Basketball Association (NBA), including the Denver Rockets, the San Diego Conquistadors, (often subbing for an absent Wilt Chamberlain), the Cleveland Cavaliers, the San Antonio Spurs, the New Jersey Nets, and the Chicago Bulls. Early life Albeck was born in Chenoa, Illinois, on May 17, 1931. He attended Chenoa High School in his hometown. Leonel Marquetti
Leonel Marquetti (born June 30, 1959) is a Cuban-American former basketball player. He played college basketball for the USC Trojans and Hampton Pirates. Marquetti was selected in the 1981 NBA draft by the San Antonio Spurs but never played in the National Basketball Association (NBA). In 2011, Marquetti was sentenced to life in prison for the 2010 murder of his ex-girlfriend's handyman. Playing career Marquetti attended Verbum Dei Jesuit High School in Los Angeles, California, where he was a first-team ''Parade'' All-American in 1978. Marquetti averaged 4.8 points and 4.6 rebounds per game during his two seasons at USC before he transferred to play at Hampton. Marquetti had to sit out his first semester at Hampton but played in 21 of the team's 28 games during the 1980–81 season. He led the team in rebounds with 9.0 per game. The 1981–82 NBA season was the Detroit Pistons' 34th season in the NBA and 25th season in the city of Detroit. The team played in the Detroit suburbs at the Pontiac Silverdome. The 1981–82 Dallas Mavericks season was the second season of the franchise in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Rookie Jay Vincent led the team in scoring with 21.4 points per game and earned NBA All-Rookie Team honors. The Mavericks improved to 28–54, getting out of the Midwest Division cellar as they finished above the Utah Jazz.
