1980–81 Cypriot Cup
The 1980–81 Cypriot Cup was the 39th edition of the Cypriot Cup. A total of 41 clubs entered the competition. It began on 20 December 1980 with the preliminary round and concluded on 27 June 1981 with the replay final which was held at Tsirion Stadium. Omonia won their 5th Cypriot Cup trophy after beating Enosis Neon Paralimni 3–0 in the final. Format In the 1980–81 Cypriot Cup, participated all the teams of the Cypriot First Division, the Cypriot Second Division and the Cypriot Third Division. The competition consisted of six knock-out rounds. In all rounds each tie was played as a single leg and was held at the home ground of the one of the two teams, according to the draw results. Each tie winner was qualifying to the next round. If a match was drawn, extra time was following. Cypriot Cup
The Cypriot Cup () is the main cup competition in Cypriot football, run by the Cyprus Football Association (CFA). It began in 1934, the same season with the Cypriot Championship. It is the second most important competition for Cypriot club teams after Cypriot Championship. Only the Cypriot First Division and the second division teams are participating in the competition. The sponsor of the competition since 1962 is Coca-Cola and thus officially known as Cyprus Coca-Cola Cup. History The Cypriot Cup started in the 1934–35 season, when the Cyprus Football Association was founded. Anagennisi Deryneia
Anagennisi Deryneia ( el, Αναγέννηση Δερύνειας) is Cypriot football team based in Deryneia, Famagusta. The club was founded in 1920 and they joined the Cyprus Football Association in 1972. The team played in the Cypriot First division in 2011 but was relegated at the end of the season. It has participated in the first and second divisions and Cypriot Third Division in the past. The club also maintains a volleyball team, which is currently playing in the Second Division, having lifted the Cypriot Cup trophy twice in the past.
