Sutherland Sharks Football Club is an Australian Association football club based in the suburb of Sutherland in Sydney New South Wales. Footscray Jugoslav United Soccer Team, commonly referred to as Footscray JUST or simply JUST, was an association football club from Melbourne, Australia. The club was established by Yugoslav migrants in 1950, and was a founding member of the National Soccer League. History Early years (1950–1961) The football team JUST was founded through the initiative of Ivan Kuketz (Serbo-Croatian: ''Kukec''), a Melbourne hotelier and vice president of Brighton Soccer Club. Kuketz was impressed by post-war migrant footballers from Yugoslavia and Czechoslovakia who had recently joined Brighton. Kuketz, himself an immigrant of Croatian descent had migrated to Australia in the 1930s envisioned a team composed solely of players from the respective nation's of the new club members. Canberra City Football Club, also known for some time as the Canberra Arrows, is a semi-professional soccer club based in Canberra in the Australian Capital Territory (ACT). It currently participates in the Capital Footballs Division One competition and competed in the National Soccer League from 1977 to 1986. National Soccer League Canberra City entered the new national competition for the inaugural season in 1977 as the only team representing the ACT. Edgeworth Football Club is an Australian semi-professional football club based in the suburb of Edgeworth, near Newcastle, New South Wales. The club currently competes in the National Premier Leagues Northern NSW. History The suburb of Edgeworth was known as Young Wallsend until 1960. The first recorded football match involving a Young Wallsend team took place on 14 May 1892, when Minmi Rangers defeated Young Wallsend 3–0 at the Young Wallsend ground. For most of the 20th century a lower-league club, Edgeworth won promotion into the Northern New South Wales 1st Division in 1973. Edgeworth made the 1st Division grand final in 1977, only to be defeated 1-0 by Weston. Newcastle KB United
Newcastle KB United are a defunct Australian association football club. They participated in the National Soccer League from 1978 until early in the 1984 season. History The first Newcastle based team to play in a national league, Newcastle KB United was formed in 1977, but did not play until 1978 one year after the inception of the Philips Soccer League (NSL). Newcastle KB United was sponsored by Tooths Breweries (hence the KB tag) and took the NSL by storm by setting new crowd attendance records on a regular basis. They drew some famous names to play guest matches with them with Bobby Charlton playing a game for the club in 1978, Paul Reaney joining in 1980 and Craig Johnston played once in 1978 and again in 1982.
