1980 Federation Cup
The 1980 Federation Cup was the 18th edition of the most important competition between national teams in women's tennis. The tournament was held at the Rot-Weiss Tennis Club in West Berlin from 19–25 May. The United States won their fifth consecutive title, defeating Australia in their tenth and record eighth consecutive final. The US did not drop a single match during the tournament. The 1979 Federation Cup was the 17th edition of the most important competition between national teams in women's tennis. The tournament was held at the RSHE Club Campo in Madrid, Spain, from 30 April – 6 May. The United States won their fourth consecutive title, defeating Australia in their ninth final. Monique Van Haver
Monique Van Haver (born 31 August 1948) is a Belgian former professional tennis player. Biography Van Haver was a regular member of the Belgium Fed Cup team, Belgium Federation Cup team throughout the 1970s. She featured in a total of 30 ties during her career, with a 22/28 overall win–loss record from 50 matches. Her doubles partnership with Michèle Gurdal resulted in 11 Federation Cup wins and is Belgium's most successful. The pair made the women's doubles quarter-finals together at the 1976 French Open. Following her retirement, Van Haver worked as a tennis coach around Brussels. Dorte Ekner (born 2 May 1951) is a Danish former professional tennis player. A three-time national singles champion, Ekner represented Denmark in 15 Federation Cup ties between 1973 and 1982, for wins in four singles and five doubles rubbers. Petra Delhees
Petra Jauch-Delhees (born 28 March 1959), born Petra Delhees, is a former professional tennis player from Switzerland. Biography Delhees, a left-hander, began playing Federation Cup tennis for Switzerland as a 17-year old in 1976. She was a member of the 1981 and 1983 Swiss semifinal teams, the latter her final season. She finished with a 33-15 overall record, at the time the Swiss record for the number of wins. Her doubles partnership with Christiane Jolissaint, which resulted in ten wins, is the most prolific in the Fed Cup for Switzerland. Olga Vasilyevna Morozova ( rus, link=no, Ольга Васильевна Морозова, , ˈolʲɡə mɐˈrozəvə, a=Ru-Olga_Morozova.ogg; born 22 February 1949) is a retired tennis player who competed for the Soviet Union. Lee Duk-hee
Lee Duk-hee (born 13 July 1953) is a former professional tennis player from South Korea. Biography Lee started in 1973 when she made the second round of the Australian Open, then featured as a doubles player at both the 1973 French Open and Wimbledon Championships. For the rest of the 1970s, she played only representative tennis for South Korea. She was a foundation player in South Korea's Fed Cup team, first featuring in its tournament debut in 1973, with regular appearances from 1976. At the 1974 Asian Games, she partnered with Lee Soon-oh to win a silver medal in the women's doubles. She won two gold medals at the 1978 Asian Games in both the women's singles and doubles.
