The Liga Pro Ecuador Serie A, simply known as the Liga Pro or the Serie A (or the Ecuadorian Serie A to distinguish it from the Italian Serie A and the Brazilian Campeonato Brasileiro Série A, Série A), or as Liga Pro Ecuabet for sponsorship reasons, is a professional association football league in Ecuador and the highest level of the Ecuadorian football league system. Contested by 16 clubs, it operates a system of promotion and relegation with the Ecuadorian Serie B, Serie B, the lower level of the Primera Categoría. Club Deportivo Everest is an Ecuadorian football team based in Guayaquil. They currently play in the third-level Ecuadorian Segunda Categoría, Segunda Categoría, but have spent ten seasons in the top-flight Ecuadorian Serie A, Serie A.
