''Bread and Chocolate'' ( it, Pane e cioccolata) is a 1974 Italian comedy-drama film directed by Franco Brusati. This film chronicles the misadventures of an Italian immigrant to Switzerland and is representative of the ''commedia all'italiana'' film genre. Plot Like many southern Europeans of the period (1960s to early 1970s), Nino Garofalo (Nino Manfredi) is a migrant "Gastarbeiter, guest worker" from Italy, working as a waiter in Switzerland. Barry Knapp Bostwick (born February 24, 1945) is an American actor. He is best known for portraying Brad Majors in the musical comedy horror film ''The Rocky Horror Picture Show'' (1975) and Mayor Randall Winston in the sitcom ''Spin City'' (1996–2002). Bertrand Blier (; born 14 March 1939) is a French film director and writer. His 1978 film ''Get Out Your Handkerchiefs'' won the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film at the 51st Academy Awards. He is the son of famous French actor Bernard Blier. His 1996 film ''Mon Homme'' was entered into the 46th Berlin International Film Festival. Iaia Fiastri (born Maria Grazia Pacelli; 15 September 1934 – 28 December 2018) was an Italian screenwriter. Biography Fiastri began her screenwriting career in the early 1960s, co-writing the 1964 comedy film ''Love and Marriage'', and was later involved in the writing of films directed by Franco Brusati, Dino Risi, Luciano Salce, Steno and others, being a close collaborator of screenwriters Pietro Garinei and Sandro Giovannini. Sheldon Bernard "Shelly" Keller (August 20, 1923 – September 1, 2008) was an American screenwriter and composer. Life and career Keller was born in Chicago and attended University of Illinois, where he began writing comedy with his fraternity brother Allan Sherman. He served in the Pacific Theater with the United States Army Signal Corps during World War II. After the war, Keller came home and married Bernice "Bitsy" Berkowitz. They had two children, Casey and Jamie. In 1951, he borrowed $500 from his father-in-law and moved the family to New York hoping to become an entertainer and comedian. He soon began writing for television.
