1978 Men's EuroHockey Nations Championship
The 1978 Men's EuroHockey Nations Championship was the third edition of the Men's EuroHockey Nations Championship, the quadrennial international men's field hockey championship of Europe organized by the European Hockey Federation. It was held in Hanover, West Germany from 2 to 10 September 1978. The hosts West Germany won their second title by defeating the Netherlands 3–2 after extra time in the final. England won the bronze medal by defeating the defending champions Spain 2–0. Hanover
Hanover (; german: Hannover ; nds, Hannober) is the capital and largest city of the German state of Lower Saxony. Its 535,932 (2021) inhabitants make it the 13th-largest city in Germany as well as the fourth-largest city in Northern Germany after Berlin, Hamburg and Bremen. Spain Men's National Field Hockey Team
The Spain men's national field hockey team represents Spain in international men's field hockey and is controlled by the Royal Spanish Hockey Association, the governing body for field hockey in Spain. Spain has competed in every World Cup since the first edition in 1971. They have won the EuroHockey Nations Championship twice and both the Champions Trophy and Champions Challenge once.
