Christmas Card
A Christmas card is a greeting card sent as part of the traditional celebration of Christmas in order to convey between people a range of sentiments related to Christmastide and the holiday season. Christmas cards are usually exchanged during the weeks preceding Christmas Day by many people (including some non-Christians) in Western society and in Asia. The traditional greeting reads "wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year". There are innumerable variations on this greeting, many cards expressing more religious sentiment, or containing a poem, prayer, Christmas song lyrics or Biblical verse; others focus on the general holiday season with an all-inclusive "Season's greetings". Vice President Of North Korea
The Vice President of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea () was a political position in North Korea established in 1972, and abolished after the death of Kim Il-sung during the reign of Kim Jong-il. In 1972 the Presidency was established, and Kim Il-sung was elected to the position by the Supreme People's Assembly, the North Korean legislature, on 28 December 1972. The Vice Presidents were also elected by the Assembly. The Vice Presidency has been left vacant since October 1997, when the Presidency was eternally reserved for Kim Il-sung. O Song-suk (born 2 September 1977) is a North Korean long-distance runner who competes in the marathon. Her personal best time is 2:31:14 hours, achieved in April 2002 in Pyongyang. She finished 23rd in the marathon at the 2005 World Championships. She also won the 2004 Pyongyang Marathon. Kim Jong-su ( or ; born January 1, 1977) is a North Korean sport shooter who competed at the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens and 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing. In Athens, he won the bronze medal in the 50 metre pistol competition, and finished eighth in the air pistol final. In Beijing, he won a silver medal in 50 metre pistol and a bronze medal in 10 metre air pistol, but was later disqualified for doping and stripped of both medals. As a competitor at the 2008 Olympics Kim competed in the 10 metre air pistol event during the 2008 Olympics on August 9, where he came third in the qualification round, with 584 points, and again third in the final round, with 683.0 points, initially earning a bronze medal. Three days later, he then competed in the 50 metre pistol event, where he scored 563 and 660.2 points for qualification and final rounds respectively, thus earning a silver medal. Parliamentary elections were held in North Korea on 11 November 1977 to elect the 579 members of the sixth Supreme People's Assembly. In the first session of the parliament that was formed that year, the second seven-year economic development plan (1978–1984) was approved. Kim Il (politician)
Kim Il (; 20 March 1910 – 9 March 1984) was a North Korean politician who was served as Premier of North Korea from 28 December 1972 to 19 April 1976. Early life and career Kim was born on 20 March 1910, in Hamgyong Province to a poor family of peasants. Kim joined the underground Communist Party in 1932 and fought against Japanese colonial rule from 1935. After the liberation of Korea in 1945, he served as secretary of the Party Committee of Pyongan Province. He was appointed to different important military posts since 1946. Kim Il was elected to the 1st Central Committee on 24 November 1946 and remained a member until his death. After the Democratic People's Republic of Korea proclaimed independence in 1948, he was elected to the 2nd Standing Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and in 1953 he was elected to the 2nd WPK Political Committee (later renamed "Presidium"). Kim Tong-gyu ( ko, 김동규; 1915 - unknown) was a politician of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea who served as the Deputy Chairman of the State. Biography Kim was born in former Manchuria in northeastern China. He took part in anti-Japanese guerrilla warfare, and studied in Soviet Union. In 1961, he became a party central committee member of the Workers' Party of Korea. In 1962, he became a delegate of the Supreme People's Assembly.
