1977 Soviet Second League, Zone 2
The 1977 Football Championship of Ukrainian SSR was the 47th season of association football competition of the Ukrainian SSR, which was part of the Soviet Second League in Zone 2. The season started on 3 April 1977. The 1977 Football Championship of Ukrainian SSR was won by SKA Odessa. The "Ruby Cup" of ''Molod Ukrayiny'' newspaper (for the most scored goals) was received by SKA Odessa. Ukrainian Soviet Competitions
The Championship of the Ukrainian SSR in football was a top competition of association football in the Ukrainian SSR in 1921-91. Number of Ukrainian clubs almost never competed in the championship such as Dynamo Kyiv. The competitions were organized by the Football Federation of the Ukrainian SSR that was created in 1959 in place of the Football Section. Before 1980 selected teams of Moldavian SSR participated in the championship. Historical outlook Established as the All-Ukrainian inter-city competition in 1921, later it was included into number of All-Ukrainian Olympiads and Spartakiads. During several seasons the competitions were suspended due to football being identified as a ''"non-proletariat sport"''. Also because of a difficult social cataclysm in 1933 (Holodomor), there was no competitions as well. FC Desna Chernihiv
Football Club Desna Chernihiv ( uk, ФК «Десна» Чернігів) is a Ukrainian football club based in Chernihiv. The original name of the club was "Avanhard" (FC Avanhard Chernihiv) during its first year of existence as part of a republican Avanhard sports society. Between 1961 and 1970 the club was called Desna. In 1972 it was replaced with SC Chernihiv (team of the SKA Kyiv) that played in Chernihiv for the next couple of years. In 1977 Desna was revived now in place of the amateur club " FC Khimik Chernihiv" that won regional competitions. FC Speranța Drochia
FC Speranța Drochia is a Moldovan football club based in Drochia. They play in the Moldovan Liga 1, the second tier of Moldovan football. History Founded in 1976, the club spent two seasons in the Soviet Second League, after which it played in the football championship of the Moldavian SSR. After Moldova's independence in 1991, Speranța played in the first three seasons of the Moldovan second tier, before the club was dissolved in 1996. In 2007, the club was revived as CS Drochia, playing in the third tier. In July 2016 the club returned to the old name Speranța Drochia, and in 2018 it was promoted to the second tier. In 2022, Speranța finished in 11th place out of 12 teams and were to be relegated back to the third tier. However, they kept their place in the league after another team, Iskra Rîbnița, were voluntarily relegated. MFС Mykolaiv (''Municipal Football Club "Mykolaiv"'', ) is a Ukrainian football club based in Mykolaiv. It is one of the oldest football clubs that exists in Ukraine. Football Club Metalist Kharkiv ( uk, Футбо́льний Клуб Металі́ст Ха́рків ) is a Ukrainian football club based in Kharkiv that plays in the Ukrainian First League during the 2021–22 season. It was revived 5 years after the original FC Metalist Kharkiv ceased operations. Founded in 1925, FC Metalist Kharkiv had worked its way up the rungs of the Soviet football system, eventually being promoted to the Soviet Top League in 1960. FC Shakhtar Horlivka ( uk, Шахтар (Горлівка)) was a Ukrainian football club from Horlivka, Donetsk Oblast. Since its relegation from professional leagues in 2000, the club participated in the regional competitions of Donetsk Oblast until the War in Donbass. FC Zirka Kropyvnytskyi ( uk, ФК "Зірка Кропивницький") is a Ukrainian amateur football club from Kropyvnytskyi, Kirovohrad Oblast, with its team currently playing in the Ukrainian Amateur League. The club traces its history of a football team that existed at the British factory of Elvorti (Elworthy) since 1911. After the occupation of Ukraine by Bolsheviks, the factory was "nationalized", its team was dissolved, and the factory was converted into Soviet factory "Chervona Zirka", hence the club's name. Football Club Mariupol ( uk, Футбольний клуб "Маріуполь" ) was a Ukrainian professional football club based in Mariupol, that competed in the Ukrainian Premier League. Krystal Kherson is a professional football club from Kherson in Ukraine that has a long history in the Soviet and then the Ukrainian Leagues. As of the 2020–21 season, it will play in the Ukrainian First League, the second tier of Ukrainian football, following promotion from the 2019–20 Ukrainian Second League.
