1976 Individual Long Track World Championship
The 1976 Individual Long Track World Championship was the sixth edition of the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme, FIM Motorcycle speedway, speedway Individual Long Track World Championship. The event was held on 12 September 1976 in Mariánské Lázně, Czech Republic which was Czechoslovakia at the time. The world title was won by Ivan Mauger of New Zealand for a third time. Josef Angermüller
Josef 'Seppi' Angermüller (6 November 1949 – 24 April 1977) was an international motorcycle speedway and Long track motorcycle racing rider from Germany. He earned 14 international caps for the West German national speedway team. Speedway career Angermüller was predominantly known as a Long track motorcycle racing, Long track speedway rider. He was however, the German Individual Speedway Championship, West German champion in 1973 and was the first German rider to secure a contract in the British League, riding for the Reading Racers 1971 and Hull Vikings in 1974. In the German Bundesliga he rode for MSC Ruhpolding and MSC Olching. Death Angermüller died 24 April 1977 after falling in a 1977 Individual Speedway World Championship qualifying round at the San Savino Speedway Park in Civitanova Marche, Italy. Conny Samuelsson (born 15 August 1947) is a former international motorcycle speedway rider from Sweden. Speedway career Samuelsson won the silver medal at the Individual Ice Speedway World Championship in the 1977 Individual Ice Speedway World Championship. He had won a bronze medal the previous year in the 1976 Individual Ice Speedway World Championship. He rode in the top tier of British Speedway in 1969 riding for Oxford Cheetahs. It was the only club outside of the Njudungarna team that he ever rode for. He spent 35 years riding for Njudungarna. He was capped 9 times by the Sweden national speedway team.
