As of 2012, there are 10 nationwide and 21 regional DVB-T (Digital Video Broadcasting – Terrestrial) television channels, and there are more than 30 other channels either produced in the Republic of Croatia or produced for the Croatian market and broadcast via IPTV (Internet Protocol television), cable television, cable, or satellite television. The electronic communications market in Croatia is regulated by the Croatian Regulatory Authority for Network Industries (HAKOM), which issues broadcast licenses and monitors the market. The DVB-T and satellite transmission infrastructure is developed and maintained by the state-owned company Odašiljači i veze (OiV). The first television signal broadcast in Croatia occurred in 1939 during the Zagreb Fair, where Philips showcased its television system. ''TV kalendar'' ( en, TV Calendar) is a daily historical documentary television series produced and broadcast by Croatian Radiotelevision (HRT) on HRT 1, its first channel. Running continuously since 1976 and spanning more than 13,850 episodes, it is one of the HRT's most enduring television programs. The programme was launched at the inspiration of Žarko Božić, former director of Television Zagreb. The first episode of was aired by the first channel of Radio Television Zagreb, then part of Yugoslav Radio Television, on January 3, 1976. The first collaborators of the show were Pavao Cindrić, a known historian from Zagreb, and Matko Peić, a versatile art expert. From 1976 to 1986 ''TV kalendar'' was jointly edited by Obrad Kosovac and Vladimir Fučijaš, leading a small team of collaborators. Fučijaš then became the sole editor until his retirement in 2001, when Kosovac returned to the editorial position. Kosovac retired at the end of 2010, and was succeeded by Vladimir Brna ... Nikolina Ristović
Nikolina Ristović ( Pišek; ; born 8 April 1973) is a Croatian television presenter and actress. Early life Born in Zagreb to mother Nada, young Nikolina was raised with a younger brother Domagoj. Teenage Nikolina reportedly gave modeling in Milan a brief try before returning home and enrolling in design studies at the University of Zagreb's Faculty of Architecture. Through her university studies, Pišek soon applied and got hired for a photographer position at ''Globus'' magazine. She eventually also began writing a fashion column at the magazine. After graduating, she worked as set designer for a few theatre productions, including the staging of ''Madama Butterfly'' at the Croatian National Theatre in Osijek. Afterwards, she worked in music video production.
