1976 Asian Cup
The 1976 AFC Asian Cup was the 6th edition of the men's AFC Asian Cup, a quadrennial international football tournament organised by the Asian Football Confederation (AFC). The finals were hosted by Iran between 3 and 13 June 1976. The field of six teams was split into two groups of three. Iran won their third title in a row, beating Kuwait in the final. Qualification *''Note : (Group 2 runners-up), ( Group 3 winners) and ( Group 4 runners-up) had qualified for the final tournament but withdrew later.'' Fathi Kameel Matar Marzouq ( ar, فتحي كميل مطر مرزوق; born 23 May 1955) was a Kuwaiti football player in the late 1970s and early 1980s. He helped Kuwait qualify to the World Cup in 1982 by scoring a goal against New Zealand. Fathi also helped Kuwait win the Asian Cup in 1980. Hassan Rowshan ( fa, حسن روشن, born 2 June 1955) is an Iranian football coach, manager, and former player. He usually played as a striker. Dato' Mohd Mokhtar bin Dahari (13 November 1953 – 11 July 1991) was a Malaysian football player from Setapak, Kuala Lumpur, he played for F.A. Selangor for most of his life.
