1975 Molde FK Season
The 1975 season was Molde's 2nd consecutive year in the top flight, and their 4th season in total in the top flight of Norwegian football. This season, Molde debuted in European competitions. The team qualified for the 1975–76 UEFA Cup through their second-place finish in the 1974 1. divisjon and made their debut in UEFA competitions this season. The first European game was played against Swedish team Öster at home at Molde Stadion on 17 September 1975. Molde won the game 1–0. Molde Fotballklubb () is a professional football club based in Molde, Norway, that competes in Eliteserien, the top flight of Norwegian football. Founded on 19 June 1911, the club was originally known as International and changed its name to Molde in 1915. Molde are five-time league champions (2011, 2012, 2014, 2019 & 2022) and five-time Norwegian Cup winners (1994, 2005, 2013, 2014 and 2021), and have finished second in the league a further nine times. Molde is one of only two Norwegian clubs to have participated in the UEFA Champions League. The club's home matches are played at the 11,249-capacity Aker Stadion. The stadium was inaugurated in 1998, and was a gift from local businessmen Kjell Inge Røkke and Bjørn Rune Gjelsten. Odd Berg (footballer)
Odd Sigurd Berg (born 3 January 1952) is a Norwegian football coach and former player. As a player, he played mostly for Molde FK. In 1974, he became top goalscorer in the top division with 13 goals, the first Molde-player to become top scorer in the top division. He later coached Molde, both as an assistant and head coach. Playing career Berg played for Molde from 1968 to 1975. In 1973, he contributed to Molde's promotion to 1. divisjon, the first tier. He became the club's first ever first-tier top scorer by scoring 13 goals in the 1974 season, where Molde finished in second place and were awarded silver medals. Berg was capped twice for Norway under-21 in 1974. He played half a season for Lyn in the 1976 season, before retiring from top level football. Stein Olav "Laffen" Hestad (born 30 June 1952) is a Norwegian former footballer. Hestad spent his entire playing career at Molde FK, where he previously had club record with 681 first-team matches, including 249 matches in the Norwegian top division. Torkild Brakstad
Torkild Brakstad (20 September 1945 – 14 May 2021) was a Norwegian football player and manager. Brakstad played as a central defender for his hometown team Molde FK from 1962 to 1978. Between 1974 and 1978, while Molde was in the Norwegian Premier League, Brakstad played 108 matches and scored 12 goals. Brakstad was capped three times on the Norwegian national team in 1974.
