1974–75 QMJHL Season
The 1974–75 QMJHL season was the sixth season in the history of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League. Ten teams played 72 games each in the schedule. The Sherbrooke Castors finished first overall in the regular season to capture the Jean Rougeau Trophy, and won the President's Cup, defeating the Laval National in the finals. Jim Montgomery (ice Hockey)
James Peter Montgomery (born June 30, 1969) is a Canadians, Canadian professional ice hockey coach and former player. He is the current head coach of the Boston Bruins of the National Hockey League (NHL), and formerly served as head coach of the Dallas Stars. During his playing career as a Centre (ice hockey), centre, he played in the NHL with the St. Louis Blues, Montreal Canadiens, Philadelphia Flyers, San Jose Sharks, and Dallas Stars. Orval Tessier
Orval Roy Tessier (June 30, 1933 – August 25, 2022) was a Canadian professional ice hockey centre and coach who played parts of three seasons in the National Hockey League for the Montreal Canadiens and Boston Bruins between 1954 and 1960, appearing in a total of 59 regular season games. The rest of his career, which lasted from 1953 to 1965, was spent in the minor leagues, where he was a solid offensive player. He won two scoring titles with the Eastern Professional Hockey League's Kingston Frontenacs, and was voted the league's most valuable player and most sportsmanlike player in the 1961–62 season. After playing, Tessier had a successful coaching career. In junior ice hockey, Tessier coached the Cornwall Royals to Memorial Cup victory in 1972. Normand Dupont
Normand Joseph Gilles Dupont (born February 5, 1957) is a Canadian retired ice hockey forward. As a youth, he played in the 1970 Quebec International Pee-Wee Hockey Tournament with a minor ice hockey team from Montréal-Nord. Dupont started his National Hockey League career with the Montreal Canadiens in 1979. He also played for the Winnipeg Jets and Hartford Whalers. He left the NHL after the 1984 season. Richard Mulhern
Richard Sidney Mulhern (born March 1, 1955) is a Canadians, Canadian former professional ice hockey defenceman. Mulhern was born in Edmonton, Alberta and raised in Beaconsfield, Quebec. Before playing in the NHL, he played for the Sherbrooke Castors. Also, around the end of his career he played with the Tulsa Oilers and Dallas Black Hawks, of the Central Hockey League. Mulhern started his National Hockey League career with the Atlanta Flames in 1975–76 NHL season, 1975, after being picked eighth overall in the 1975 Amateur Draft and being first sent to Tulsa where he played 56 games during the 1975-76 season. He also played for the Toronto Maple Leafs, Los Angeles Kings, and Winnipeg Jets (1972–96), Winnipeg Jets. Pierre Mondou
Joseph Julien Claude Pierre Mondou (born November 27, 1955) is a former Canadians, Canadian ice hockey forward (ice hockey), forward. Mondou played in the National Hockey League from 1976–77 NHL season, 1977 to 1984–85 NHL season, 1985. During this time, he played for the Montreal Canadiens his entire career. He won three Stanley Cups while with the Habs in 1977 Stanley Cup Finals, 1977, 1978 Stanley Cup Finals, 1978 and 1979 Stanley Cup Finals, 1979. He passed the 30-goal mark three times, and scored 29 goals one other season. His career ended shortly after he was hit in the eye by a high stick from Ulf Samuelsson. Danny Lecours (born October 5, 1955) is a Canadian retired professional ice hockey player. Born in 1955 in Princeville, Quebec, Lecours played three seasons in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League with the Quebec Remparts and Chicoutimi Saguenéens. Lecours also played two seasons in the semi-pro USHL (with the Milwaukee Admirals) before he began his professional career in 1977 with the Milwaukee Admirals of the International Hockey League where over nine seasons he played 554 regular season games and registered 360 goals and 282 assists for 642 points, while earning 345 penalty minutes. Lecours also played 45 playoff games for the Admirals, scoring 16 goals and 15 assists for 31 points, with 27 minutes in penalties.
