James David Santini
James David Santini (August 13, 1937 – September 22, 2015) was an American attorney, politician and lobbyist who served as the United States House of Representatives, U.S. representative for Nevada's at-large congressional district from 1975 to 1983. He was a member of the Democratic Party (United States), Democratic Party until 1986, when he joined the Republican Party (United States), Republican Party. Early life and education Born in Reno, Nevada, Santini graduated from Bishop Manogue High School in 1955 and attended the University of Nevada, Reno, where he was a member of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. He earned his Juris Doctor from University of California, Hastings College of the Law in 1962 and was admitted to the Nevada state bar in the same year, as well as California in 1963 and Arizona in 1966. David Towell
David Gilmer Towell (June 9, 1937 – June 10, 2003) was an American politician who served a single term as a U.S. Representative from Nevada, representing the state's at-large district. He was a Republican. Born in Bronxville, New York, Towell was the son of a Canadian-born mother and an English-born father. He attended Bronxville and New York City public schools before earning a B.A. in economics at University of the Pacific in Stockton, California, in 1960. He served in the Nevada Air National Guard from 1960 to 1966. A real estate broker by profession, Towell's prior political experience included serving as chairman of the Douglas County Republican Central Committee and as a delegate to the Nevada State Republican conventions in 1968, 1970, and 1972. Myron of Eleutherae ( grc, Μύρων, ''Myrōn'' ), working c. 480–440 BC, was an Athenian sculptor from the mid-5th century BC. He was born in Eleutherae on the borders of Boeotia and Attica. 1974 United States House Of Representatives Elections
The 1974 United States House of Representatives elections were elections for the United States House of Representatives in 1974 that occurred in the wake of the Watergate scandal, which had forced President Richard Nixon to resign in favor of Gerald Ford. This scandal, along with high inflation, allowed the Democrats to make large gains in the midterm elections, taking 48 seats from the Republicans (an additional seat was gained, for a net gain of 49, when Representative Joe Moakley from Massachusetts switched his party affiliation back to Democrat after winning his 1972 election as an independent), and increasing their majority above the two-thirds mark. Altogether, there were 93 freshmen representatives in the 94th Congress when it convened on January 3, 1975 (76 of them Democrats).
