1974 Israel Super Cup
The 1974 Israel Super Cup was the fourth Israel Super Cup (ninth, including unofficial matches, as the competition wasn't played within the Israel Football Association in its first 5 editions, until 1969), an annual Israel football match played between the winners of the previous season's Top Division and Israel State Cup. With this match, the competitions resumed after two years of absence. The match was played between Maccabi Netanya, champions of the 1973–74 Liga Leumit and Hapoel Haifa, winners of the 1973–74 Israel State Cup. Aharon Cohen (footballer)
Aharon Cohen ( he, אהרון כהן; 1910-1980) was a senior member of Mapam, a pro- USSR Israeli political party which existed during the first two decades of statehood. Born in Britchany, Bessarabia in what was the Tsarist empire, now Romania. He came to Palestine in 1929 where he joined kibbutz Sha'ar Ha'amakin, near Haifa. Four years later he was sent back to Romania as a Zionist youth movement organiser. He returned to Palestine in 1936 where a year later he was elected to the executive committee of Ha-kibbutz Ha'artzi and was involved in organizing political work in Haifa and illegal Jewish immigration. A talented and efficient organizer he was given the task of setting up Hakibbutz Ha'artzi's Arab Department. Party policy advocated an undivided and Socialist Palestine and to this objective he gave lectures and issued bulletins to party members advocating good relations with Arabs. Abraham "Abba" Gindin ( he, אברהם "אבא" גינדין; born 24 December 1945 in Helsinki, Finland) is a former Israeli professional football player. Eliezer Spiegel
Eliezer Spiegel ( he, אליעזר שפיגל; 20 June 1922 – 26 November 2017) was a footballer and manager, who played for Maccabi Petah Tikva, Beitar Tel Aviv and for the Israel national football team in the 1940s and 1950s. Playing career Spiegel started playing football as in Maccabi Petah Tikva, playing against CAM Timișoara when the Romanian team visited Palestine in winter 1939. Spiegel appeared with Maccabi Petah Tikva in the 1939 Palestine Cup final, losing to Hapoel Tel Aviv 1–2. In 1940, Spiegel moved to Beitar Tel Aviv and reached the 1942 Palestine Cup final, scoring 8 goals in the match, in which Beitar won 12–1 against Maccabi Haifa. In 1944, Spiegel was arrested as a suspected member of the Irgun and was sent to internment in Sembel camp, Eritrea, where he stayed until June 1946.
