Dunja Hayali (born 6 June 1974) is a German journalist and television presenter for public broadcaster ''ZDF''. Early life and education Hayali is the daughter of Christianity in Iraq, Iraqi Christians from Mosul. Her mother is Chaldean Catholic Church, Chaldean Catholic, and her father is Syriac Orthodox Church, Syrian Orthodox. Hayali herself was a Catholic and was an altar server when she was young. However, she has left the church. Her parents initially moved from Baghdad to Vienna, Austria, to study medicine and pharmacy. At the time of Hayali's birth, her father ran his own practice in Datteln, where her mother helped out. Klaus Lederer (born 21 March 1974) is a German politician of The Left who is serving as Deputy Mayor and Senator for Culture and Europe in the Berlin state government since December 2016. He is also a member of the Abgeordnetenhaus of Berlin since 2001. He previously served as chairman of the Berlin branch of The Left from 2006 to 2016.
