Swedish Football Division 2
Division 2 is the fourth level in the league system of Swedish football and comprises 84 Swedish football teams. Division 2 had status as the official second level from 1928 to 1986 but was replaced by Division 1 in 1987. It then had status as the official third level until 2005 but was replaced once again by the recreated Division 1 in 2006. Overview In the Division, there are 84 clubs which are divided in six groups of 14 teams each representing a geographical area. During the course of a season (starting in April and ending in October) each club plays the others twice, once at their home stadium and once at that of their opponents, for a total of 26 games. At the end of each season the two lowest placed teams of each group are relegated to Division 3 and the twelve winning teams from the twelve Division 3 leagues are promoted in their place while the third lowest placed teams in the Division 2 leagues plays promotion/relegation play-offs against the twelve second placed te ...

Degerfors IF is a Swedish football club located in Degerfors. The club, formed 13 January 1907, is currently playing in the highest tier in Swedish football, Allsvenskan. IFK Malmö football team is a section of Swedish sports club IFK Malmö based in Malmö. The club is affiliated with Skånes Fotbollförbund and play their home games at Malmö Stadion. IS Halmia is a football club, located in Halmstad, Sweden. Background IS Halmia was founded on 16 June 16, 1907 and currently plays in Division 2 Västra Götaland. In early years, the club also played bandy. The first ever bandy game between two organised teams in Halland, is thought to have been played between Halmia and local rival Halmstads BK in 1922. In 1932 Halmia won the Halland district championship in this sport. In 1932 the club also became the first team from Halmstad to reach the Allsvenskan, the top-tier football league in Sweden. Hässleholms IF is a Sweden, Swedish association Football, football club located in Hässleholm in Skåne County. Background Hässleholms Idrottsförening were founded on 1 May 1922. Skövde AIK is a Swedish football club from Skövde. It was founded on 21 June 1919. The club is currently in Superettan. Background Skövde AIK has played 14 seasons in second tier Swedish football, the last time being as recently as 1995 in the Division 1 Södra. Eight seasons later the club had plunged into Division 5 Västergötland Östra, the sixth tier, having been relegated 3 consecutive times between 2000 and 2002.
