Yugoslav First Basketball League
The First Federal Basketball League () was the highest tier level men's professional club basketball competition in SFR Yugoslavia. Founded in 1945 and folded in 1992 (1991-92 Winer Broker YUBA League), it was run by the Basketball Federation of Yugoslavia. With a total of 16 European-wide trophy winners and 11 finalists, the Yugoslav First Basketball League was one of the strongest European national domestic basketball leagues of all time. Although each of the former Yugoslav countries have their own national domestic leagues, the six nations also now take part in the ABA League (commonly known as the Adriatic League), which was founded in 2001; and which is, the closest basketball league in existence today, that is similar to the former Yugoslav Basketball League. 1973–74 FIBA European Champions Cup
The 1973–74 FIBA European Champions Cup was the 17th edition of the European top-tier level professional basketball club competition FIBA European Champions Cup (now called EuroLeague). The Final was held at the Palais des Sports de Beaulieu, in Nantes, France, on April 3, 1974. It was won by Real Madrid, who defeated Ignis Varese in the finals, by a result of 84–82. This was the 5th consecutive final for Varese, and the first of three consecutive finals played between these two teams. Slobodan Ivković
Slobodan "Piva" Ivković ( sr-cyr, Слободан Ивковић; 4 August 1937 – 28 November 1995) was a Serbian professional basketball player and coach. Playing career Ivković played club basketball at the senior level in the club Radnički Belgrade. He was a well-talented player with much better physical capabilities, but nobody managed to stabilize him as a player. Besides that, he had weak sight, which was a serious problem since in those times many games were played outside, during the night. Coaching career Ivković was one of the first Serbian coaches that went to school in the USA. He was the founder of the creation of a modern coach organization in the former Yugoslavia. Srećko Jarić ( sr-cyr, Срећко Јарић, born 1951) is a Serbian former professional basketball player. He played at the point guard position. Early career Jarić began playing youth club basketball with the youth teams of Radnički Belgrade. Miroljub "Dugi" Damjanović ( sr-cyr, Мирољуб Дамјановић; born 25 November 1950) is a Serbian retired basketball player.
