Ullevi, sometimes known as Nya Ullevi (, ''New Ullevi''), is a multi-purpose stadium in Gothenburg, Sweden. It was built for the 1958 FIFA World Cup, but since then has also hosted the World Allround Speed Skating Championships six times; the 1995 World Championships in Athletics and the 2006 European Athletics Championships; the UEFA Cup Winners' Cup finals in 1983 and 1990; the UEFA Euro 1992 final, the UEFA Cup final in 2004; and annually hosted the opening ceremony of the Gothia Cup, the world's largest football tournament in terms of the number of participants. Gerhard "Gerd" Zimmermann (born 23 September 1942) is a retired German speed skater Speed skating is a competitive form of ice skating in which the competitors race each other in travelling a certain distance on skates. Types of speed skating are long track speed skating, short track speed skating, and marathon speed skating. .... He competed at the 1964, 1968 and 1972 Winter Olympics in the 500, 1500, 5000 and 1000 m distances (eight events in total), for Germany and then for West Germany. His best achievements were seventh and eighth place in the 10000 m in 1964 and 1972, respectively. Between 1964 and 1972 he won eight West German all-around titles. He married Hildegard Sellhuber, a West German speed skater who also competed at the 1968 Olympics. Peter Nottet
Petrus "Peter" Wilhelmus Frederikus Nottet (born 23 September 1944) is a Dutch Speed skating, speed skater who competed in the 1964 Winter Olympics and in the 1968 Winter Olympics. In 1964 he finished 34th in the Speed skating at the 1968 Winter Olympics, 5000 metres event. Four years later he won the bronze medal in the 5000 metres competition. In the Speed skating at the 1968 Winter Olympics, 10000 metres contest he finished eighth, in the Speed skating at the 1968 Winter Olympics, 1500 metres event he finished ninth, and in the Speed skating at the 1968 Winter Olympics, 500 metres competition he finished 30th. The 5000 m race in 1968 was his milestone. Nationally, his best achievement was second place all-round the same year. He competed in 6 world and 7 European championships but never won a medal, once finishing fourth at the 1969 world championships. He retired from competitions in 1973.
