The 1971 KFK competitions in Ukraine were part of the 1971 Soviet KFK competitions that were conducted in the Soviet Union. It was the 8th season of the KFK in Ukraine since its introduction in 1964. FC Shakhtar Makiivka
FC Shakhtar Makiivka was a Ukrainian football club from Makiivka, Donetsk Oblast. History The club was established in 1981 as Bazhanovets Makiivka representing the Bazhanov coal mine of the State mining enterprise Makiyivvuhol (Makeyevugol). From 1992 until 1999 participated in the professional competitions of Ukraine. In 1995 it was renamed as Shakhtar Makiivka after another club with same name, but which represented another mine "Kholodna Balka" also belonging to Makiyivvuhol. Also the Makiivka Metallurgical Plant had its own football club Kirovets Makiivka which during the Soviet period competed at professional level. FC Mayak Valky is an amateur football club from Valky, Ukraine. History The club was established in 1958 as ''Mayak'' (Lighthouse) and sponsored by the Shevchenko Kharkiv Instrument Factory. Mayak competed in the Soviet Second League and Soviet Second League B. After the fall of the Soviet Union the club was transferred on the balance of the local school of Olympic Reserve and therefore changed its name accordingly. Entering the Ukrainian competitions Olympik relegated out of the professional level competitions and dissolved. In 2016 it was reorganized as a sports school (school of physical culture). The 1972 Football Championship of Ukrainian SSR was the 42nd season of association football competition of the Ukrainian SSR, which was part of the Soviet Second League in Zone 1.
