1970–71 Cupa României
The 1970–71 Cupa României was the 33rd edition of Romania's most prestigious football cup competition. The title was won by Steaua București against Dinamo București. Format The competition is an annual knockout tournament. In the first round proper, two pots were made, first pot with Divizia A teams and other teams till 16 and the second pot with the rest of teams qualified in this phase. Each tie is played as a single leg. First round proper matches are played on the ground of the lowest ranked team, then from the second round proper the matches are played on a neutral location. In the first round proper, if a match is drawn after 90 minutes, the game goes in extra time, and if the scored is still tight after 120 minutes, the team who played away will qualify. Fotbal Club FCSB (), formerly named and still sometimes referred to as FC Steaua București, is a Romanian professional Association football, football club based in Bucharest. It has spent its entire history in the Liga I, the top flight of the Romanian football league system. The original ''Steaua București'' football team was founded in 1947 and belonged to the Ministry of National Defence (Romania), Ministry of National Defence, through the namesake CSA Steaua București sports club. FC Unirea Dej
Fotbal Club Unirea Dej, commonly known as Unirea Dej, is a Romanian professional football club based in Dej, Cluj County, that competes in the Liga III, the third tier of the Romanian football. It is one of Romania's oldest football teams, founded in 1921, although it never reached the Liga I. Unirea's home field, Stadionul Unirea, has 5,000 seats. In 2004 Unirea Dej became the reserve team of CFR Cluj, until the summer of 2007. It has an average attendance of about 300 fans. Fotbal Club Politehnica Iași (), commonly known as Politehnica Iași or simply Poli Iași, was a Romanian football club from the city of Iași, Iași County. Named after the Gheorghe Asachi Technical University of Iași, the team was founded in 1945. Its home stadium was the Stadionul Emil Alexandrescu, where it played in blue and white until being dissolved in 2010. In the same year, a successor club was formed under the name of ACSMU Politehnica Iași and currently competes in the first division. Fotbal Club Bihor Oradea (), commonly known as Bihor Oradea or simply as FC Bihor, was a Romanian professional Association football, football club based in Oradea, Bihor County. It was founded under the name of ''Crișul Oradea'' in April 1958 and from 1963 it continued the football tradition of the city, following the dissolution of Club Atletic Oradea. In the 57 seasons spent in the Romanian football league system, FC Bihor played 18 seasons in the Liga I, first division, 39 seasons in the Liga II, second league and only 5 seasons in the lower leagues, respectively 4 in the Liga III and only one season, its first, in the Liga IV, fourth tier. Asociaţia Club Sportiv FC Corvinul Hunedoara 1921 (), commonly known as Corvinul Hunedoara or simply Corvinul, is a Romanian professional Football (soccer), football club based in the city of Hunedoara, Hunedoara County, that competes in the Liga II. Founded in 1921 as ''Fero Sport Hunedoara'', the club bore various names over time, but stuck with Corvinul, inspired by the history of the Hunyadi family () and the local Corvin Castle.
