1969–70 FIBA European Champions Cup
The 1969–70 FIBA European Champions Cup was the thirteenth installment of the European top-tier level professional basketball club competition FIBA European Champions Cup (now called EuroLeague). The Final was held at the Sportska Dvorana Skenderija, in Sarajevo, Yugoslavia, on April 4, 1970. It was won by Ignis Varese, who defeated CSKA Moscow, by a result of 79–74. Competition system *24 teams (European national domestic league champions, plus the then current title holders), playing in a tournament system, played knock-out rounds on a home and away basis. The aggregate score of both games decided the winner. *The eight teams qualified for 1/4 Finals were divided into two groups of four. BC Academic Metropol Region ( bg, БК "Академик" Метропол-Рийджън) is a reestablished Bulgarian professional basketball club based in the capital Sofia. In April 2022, Academic has been reborn and rebranded by the new owners, the german-bulgarian Ex-professional basketball player Viktor Vladov and Georgi Petrov. Panathinaikos Football Club B, known as Panathinaikos B, (Greek: ΠΑΕ Παναθηναϊκός B) is a Greek football club based in Athens, Greece. Founded in 2021, they play as the reserve team of Panathinaikos in the Super League Greece 2. Panathinaikos B is one of four reserve teams givens approval from the EPO ( Hellenic Football Association) to play in the second division. The club was dissolved in 2011 due to financial difficulties. History Espoon Honka was founded in 1975 as a professional team apart from Tapiolan Honka, which worked as a feeder team and took responsibility for organizing youth teams and other activities. Espoon Honka played 16 seasons in the Korisliiga and won seven championship titles.
