Chilean Primera División
The Chilean Primera División () is a professional association football league in Chile and the highest level of the Chilean football league system. Founded in 1933, it is organized by the Asociación Nacional de Fútbol Profesional (ANFP). The league is officially known as the Liga de Primera Itaú due to sponsorship by Brazilian bank Itaú Unibanco, Itaú. Throughout its history, the Chilean Primera División has had different formats, structures and number of participants. The 2025 Chilean Primera División, 2025 season is being contested through a single tournament throughout the calendar year. A total of 16 teams participate in the competition and it works with a system of promotions and relegations with the immediately lower category, the Primera B de Chile, Primera B (category with which it shares the Copa Chile). Deportes Magallanes
Magallanes is a Chilean football club based in San Bernardo, Chile. They play in the Primera B de Chile, after being relegated from the Chilean Primera División in 2023. History The club was on October 27, 1897, with the name Atlético Escuela Normal F.C. In 1933 they became the first national champions of Chile. They won a hat trick of titles in the formative years of Chilean football (1933, 1934 and 1935) but their last major title came in 1938. In 2022 they won the Primera B championship and promotion to the top tier having not competed since 1986, they also won the Copa Chile for the first time in the same year which meant they qualified for the 2023 Copa Libertadores. Magallanes, adopting their official name in 1904, is one of the oldest clubs in the country. Carlos Reinoso
Carlos Enzo Exzequiel Reinoso Valdenegro (born 7 March 1945) is a Chilean former footballer and manager who recently managed Mexican club UAT. He began his career in the 1960s playing for Audax Italiano in his native Chile. In 1970 Reinoso was scouted by Mexican club América, with whom he played for nine years. He is considered one of the greatest foreign players in Mexican football history, and among the greatest players in Club América history. Playing career Carlos Reinoso began his playing career playing for boyhood club Audax Italiano, joining them at age 15. He played in over 150 games with Audax before he was sold to Club América of Mexico. His debut with América came in 1970 in a league match against Atlante. Osvaldo Castro
Osvaldo Castro Pelayo (born 14 April 1947) is a Chilean former professional footballer who played league football for clubs in Chile and Mexico, as well as playing international football for the Chile national team. Career Castro started his career Chilean club Unión La Calera in 1965, before joining Deportes Concepción. After three seasons he transferred to Mexican side Club América. Castro joined Club Jalisco for the 1975–76 season, scoring 26 goals in 32 league appearances. In all he scored 91 league goals for the club in his four seasons with them. Following Jalisco's removal from the Primera División, Castro returned to Chile and joined Universidad Católica for about a month. Next, he joined Deportivo Neza in 1979–80, before moving on to Atlético Potosino for 1981/82. He played his last Mexican seasons with Pumas de la UNAM, finishing with them in 1983/84. Rubén Marcos
Héctor Rubén Marcos Peralta (6 December 1942 – 14 August 2006), known as Rubén Marcos, was a Chilean footballer who played as a midfielder. Usually a central midfielder, he was well known for his versatility and stamina. Capable both in attack and defense, Marcos was also technically skilled and is one of the most highly regarded Chilean midfielders. Career Marcos was born in Osorno, Chile. During his career, he played for Universidad de Chile and Palestino in Chile and for Emelec in Ecuador. He also played for the Chile national football team and took part in the 1966 FIFA World Cup (where he scored two goals) and the South American Championship 1967. In 1999, he performed as President, interim coach and director of Provincial Osorno. Death Marcos died of a heart attack in Osorno at age 63. Everton de Viña del Mar is a Football in Chile, Chilean football club based in the city of Viña del Mar.
