The Herbs
''The Herbs'' is a television series for young children made for the BBC by Graham Clutterbuck's FilmFair company. It was written by Michael Bond (creator of Paddington Bear), directed by Ivor Wood using 3D stop motion model animation and first transmitted from 12 February 1968 in the BBC1 ''Watch with Mother'' timeslot. There were 13 episodes in the series, each one 15 minutes long. A spin-off series entitled ''The Adventures of Parsley'' was transmitted from 6 April 1970 in the 5-minute period between the end of children's TV and the BBC Evening News. This had 32 episodes, some of which were released on VHS as ''Parsley the Lion and Friends''. ''The Herbs'' consisted of a fantasy mix of human and animal characters inhabiting the magical walled garden of a country estate. ''The Archie Show'' (also known as ''The Archies)'' is an American musical animated sitcom television series produced by Filmation for CBS. Based on the Archie Comics, created by Bob Montana in 1941, ''The Archie Show'' aired Saturday mornings on CBS from September 1968 to 1969. The show featured the main characters in the ''Archie'' series, including Archie Andrews, Betty Cooper, Veronica Lodge, Reggie Mantle, and Jughead Jones. In 1969, the show was expanded to an hour and retitled ''The Archie Comedy Hour'', which included a half-hour featuring Sabrina the Teenage Witch. In 1970, the show became ''Archie's Funhouse'', and featured live-action segments. After three seasons, ''The Archie Show'' stopped airing on CBS in 1971. ''Musti'' is a Flanders, Flemish animated children's television series created by Ray Goossens. It first aired in 1968, but new episodes have been made over the decades in more sophisticated animation, even going to 3D animation from 2007 on. Concept Musti (character), Musti is a small childlike anthropomorphism, anthropomorphic cat. He lives with his parents and friends Mr. Rabbit, Miss Tortoise, Miss Hedgehog and Mr. Dog. The stories are simple tales, usually not longer than five minutes in length. The show's target audience are toddlers. Ray Goossens
Ray Goossens (14 August 1924 – 10 December 1998) was a Belgian artist, animator, writer, and director best known for creating the cartoon character Musti. Biography Ray Goossens was born in Merksem, Belgium in 1924. Interested in animation from before World War II, he founded the AFIM animation studios with Henri Winkeler and Edmond Roex in 1940. They had 15 employees, including later famous comics artists like Bob de Moor and Jef Nys. They created a number of short animated movies, of which '' Smidje Smee'' was the most successful. After the war, Goossens started working as a comics creator with '' Kleine Zondagsvriend'', a weekly youth magazine. The Mézga Family
''The Mézga Family'' (in Hungarian ''Mézga család'') is a fictional family from three animated TV series made by Pannónia Film Studio in Hungary between 1969 and 1978. Scripts for the series were written by József Romhányi and József Nepp. Nepp also served as the film director. The series proved to be very popular, reaching cult status and televised, among others, in Czechoslovakia, Bulgaria, Romania, Italy, The Netherlands and both German states. The series still regularly appear on television. Each consists of 13 episodes. Raymond Leblanc (born 22 May 1915 – 21 March 2008) was a Belgian comic book publisher, film director and film producer, best known for publishing works such as ''The Adventures of Tintin'' by Hergé and ''Blake and Mortimer'' by Edgar P. Jacobs. He debuted, published, and promoted many of the most famous Franco-Belgian comics. Leblanc and his two partners created Le Lombard publishing, ''Tintin'' magazine, PubliArt advertising agency, and Belvision Studios. ''Out of an Old Man's Head'' ( sv, I huvet på en gammal gubbe) is a 1968 Swedish adult film directed by Per Åhlin and Tage Danielsson, starring Hans Alfredson as an old man remembering his past. Partly a black comedy, the film was released around the same time as the urban renewal of the Klara quarters in Stockholm, and could be seen as a comment both on the demolishing of the old buildings and on the welfare state in general. Tage Danielsson (; 5 February 1928 – 13 October 1985) was a Swedish author, actor, comedian, poet and film director. He is best known for his collaboration with Hans Alfredson in the comedy duo Hasse & Tage. Career After graduation from Katedralskolan in Linköping, Danielsson matriculated at the University of Uppsala in 1949. There he got involved in student theatre of Östgöta Nation and became a member of the Juvenalorden, as well as serving as vice president of the Uppsala Student Union. Per Johan Axel Åhlin (born 7 August 1931) is a Swedish artist and director of animated films. He is known for his collaborations with the comedy duo Hasse & Tage and for his own projects such as the feature film ''The Journey to Melonia''. Career Åhlin started his career as an artist for the Hasse & Tage production ''Svenska bilder'' from 1964. After that he has worked on several other Hasse & Tage films, including the largely animated ''Out of an Old Man's Head'' from 1968, and ''The Adventures of Picasso'' from 1978, where he provided and animated Picasso's paintings.
