The final was played on 11 July 1968 at the Santiago Bernabéu Stadium in Madrid, and was won by FC Barcelona, who beat Real Madrid CF 1–0. Josep Maria Fusté
Josep Maria Fusté Blanch (born April 15, 1941) is a retired Spanish Association football, footballer who played as a midfielder and who was Captain (association football), captain of FC Barcelona during the 1960s and early 1970s. In 1964, together with Luis Suárez Miramontes, Luis Suárez, Amancio Amaro, José Ángel Iribar and his FC Barcelona teammate, Chus Pereda, he helped Spain national football team, Spain win the 1964 European Nations' Cup, European Championship. Fernando Serena
Fernando Rodríguez Serena (28 January 1941 – 15 October 2018) was a Spanish footballer who played as a right winger. He appeared in 144 La Liga matches during nine seasons, scoring a combined 23 goals for Real Madrid, Osasuna and Elche. With the first club, he won the 1966 European Cup. Club career Born in Madrid, Serena finished his development at Real Madrid, and started his senior career with their reserves. Ignacio Zoco Esparza (31 July 1939 – 28 September 2015) was a Spanish footballer who played as a defensive midfielder. He spent 12 years of his professional career with Real Madrid, appearing in more than 400 official matches and winning ten major titles. Zoco played more than 20 times with Spain, winning the 1964 European Nations' Cup and also representing the nation at the 1966 World Cup. José Martínez Sánchez (born 11 March 1945), nicknamed Pirri, is a Spanish former footballer. A central midfielder in the early part of his career, he finished up as a sweeper. He spent the vast majority of his career with Real Madrid, appearing in 561 competitive matches and scoring 172 goals while winning 15 titles. He also served as captain of the club. Vicente Miera Campos (born 10 May 1940) is a Spanish retired football player and manager. A former football defender, he appeared in 139 La Liga games over ten seasons and scored two goals, mainly at the service of Real Madrid. Later, he embarked on a managerial career which lasted more than 25 years, and included a brief spell with the Spain national team. Playing career Born in the neighbourhood of Nueva Montaña in Santander, Cantabria, Miera played for two seasons (one in each major division) for hometown's Racing de Santander, moving in 1961 to Real Madrid. Carles Rexach i Cerdà (; born 13 January 1947) is a Spanish former football winger and manager. His career was mainly associated to Barcelona, spending 44 years at the club as a player (youth levels included) and coach. He formed a successful partnership with Johan Cruyff, both on and off the field, and as a player appeared in 638 games and scored 197 goals, winning the Pichichi Trophy in 1971; he won a combined eight titles both capacities combined, including the La Liga championship in the 1973–74 season and the 1979 Cup Winners' Cup.
