1967 Cup Of The Alps
1967 Coppa delle Alpi shows the results of the 1967 tournament that was held mainly in Germany and Switzerland in the preseason 1967/68. The Coppa delle Alpi (translated as ''Cup of the Alps'') was a football tournament, jointly organized by the Italian national league and the Swiss League as a pre-season event. Most of the games in the 1967 competition were played in Germany and Switzerland . There were three teams taking part from Italy AC Milan, AS Roma and Torino FC, two from Germany Eintracht Frankfurt and TSV 1860 Munich as well as three from Switzerland FC Basel, Servette FC and FC Zürich The teams played in one group. Eintracht Frankfurt e.V. () is a professional sports club based in Frankfurt, Hesse, Germany. It is best known for its football club, which was founded on 8 March 1899. The team is currently playing in the Bundesliga, the top tier of the German football league system. Wilhelm Huberts
Wilhelm Huberts (22 February 1938 – 4 March 2022), also known as Willi Huberts, was an Austrian footballer who played as a midfielder. Club career Huberts began his career in his hometown with ASK Voitsberg. From there he was transferred to Grazer AK, who got him to the Stadion an der Körösistraße in 1955. Through his immense technical skills and his scoring qualities he became a supporter's favourite in Graz. When ''GAK'' played a couple of friendlies in New York in 1959, two of them against Real Madrid, it caused Huberts who was a midfielder, to finally convince New York Hungarians of the German American Soccer League to sign him in 1960. With this club he won National Challenge Cup (today Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup) in 1962. In 1963 Huberts joined Eintracht Frankfurt in Germany. Wolfgang Solz
Wolfgang Solz (12 February 1940 – 24 March 2017) was a German professional footballer who played as a winger. Club career Eintracht Frankfurt The youth internationalist moved from Union Niederrad to Eintracht Frankfurt in 1958. The first season he had to spend in the youth team due to transfer regulations. From the 1959–60 campaign on, Solz was an Oberliga team member. On 6 December 1959, he debuted as left winger against SSV Reutlingen. For the European Cup final match in Glasgow against Real Madrid on 18 May 1960 he was benched. Because of his excellent technique he was called "Brasilianer", ''Brazilian''. From 1959 until 1963 he appeared in 69 Oberliga matches, netting 17 goals and contributed to the runner-up titles in 1961 and 1962 in the Oberliga Süd.
