1966 Ukrainian Class B
The 1966 Football Championship of Ukrainian SSR (Class B) was the 36th season of association football competition of the Ukrainian SSR, which was part of the Ukrainian Class B. It was the sixteenth in the Soviet Class B and the fourth season of the Ukrainian Class B. The 1966 Football Championship of Ukrainian SSR (Class B) was won by FC Avanhard Zhovti Vody. Ukrainian Soviet Competitions
The Championship of the Ukrainian SSR in football was a top competition of association football in the Ukrainian SSR in 1921-91. Number of Ukrainian clubs almost never competed in the championship such as Dynamo Kyiv. The competitions were organized by the Football Federation of the Ukrainian SSR that was created in 1959 in place of the Football Section. Before 1980 selected teams of Moldavian SSR participated in the championship. Historical outlook Established as the All-Ukrainian inter-city competition in 1921, later it was included into number of All-Ukrainian Olympiads and Spartakiads. During several seasons the competitions were suspended due to football being identified as a ''"non-proletariat sport"''. Also because of a difficult social cataclysm in 1933 (Holodomor), there was no competitions as well. FC Vorskla Poltava ( uk, ФК «Во́рскла» Полта́ва ) is a Ukrainian professional football club based in Poltava that competes in the Ukrainian Premier League, the top flight of Ukrainian football. History Kolos Poltava The club draws its history from 1955 when in the city of Poltava was established a football club Kolhospnyk within the republican trade union sports society '' Kolos''. The same year it entered the Football Championship of the Ukrainian SSR where already played one of the older clubs from Poltava, FC Lokomotyv Poltava. In 1957 the club obtained its professional status and was included in the competitions of the Soviet third division (then "Class B"). However, in 1982 the club went into bankruptcy and was dissolved. FC Avanhard Ternopil
FC Avanhard Ternopil was a football club based in Ternopil, Ukrainian SSR. The club played in the Soviet Second League 1960–1971. During that time the club also used to be called ''Budivelnyk''. Its games it played at Ternopilsky Misky Stadion that was called ''Avanhard Stadium''. Currently in Ternopil there is another football club, FC Nyva Ternopil that one might mistakenly confuse with the former Avanhard. That club moved to the town from Berezhany, Ternopil Oblast when Ternopil was left without the big football. FC Sirius Zhovti Vody
FC Avanhard Zhovti Vody is a Ukrainian amateur football club from Zhovti Vody, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. In 1959–70 as Avanhard the club participated in the championship of the Ukrainian SSR among teams of masters (professional). Since 1993 it was known as Sirius and in 1994 moved to Kryvyi Rih. In 1995 Sirius was merged with a local amateur team Sportinvest Kryvyi Rih which replaced Sirius in competition for year. In 1996 the club folded. It was replaced by Nyva Bershad. In 2010 was the club refounded. SC Prometei Dniprodzerzhynsk
SC Prometei Dniprodzerzhynsk was a Soviet football club from Dniprodzerzhynsk, Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. The club was founded in 1947 and participated in the Soviet competition until 1970. History The club was founded in 1947 as Traktor Dniprodzerzhynsk under the patronage of a secretive Soviet Factory of Slag Fertilizers, a part of the Soviet Defense Industry Complex. The club entered regional competitions of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast in 1951. In 1952 Traktor entered the republican stage and after being promoted to upper league changed its name to Khimik. From 1957 to 1970 the club competed in the Soviet Class B championship (analogous with a third level of league system). In 1962 Khimik changed its name to Dnieprovets and in 1967 - to Prometei. In 1970 the extra funding for the club from the city authorities ended and the club withdrew from the professional ranks. Football Club Kremin Kremenchuk ( uk , ФК Кремінь Кременчук; ru , Кремень Кременчуг, translit=Kremen Kremenchug) is a professional football club based in Kremenchuk, Ukraine. The current club is administered by the city of Kremenchuk and was established in 2003, but it traces its heritage to the previously existing clubs of 1959–1970 and 1985–2001. FC Dnipro Kremenchuk (1959–1970) became the first club from Kremenchuk that obtained the professional status (team of masters). The club only played for six seasons in the Soviet lower leagues before it was dissolved. FC Spartak Ivano-Frankivsk was a Ukrainian football team based in Ivano-Frankivsk, Ivano-Frankivsk Oblast, Ukraine, the unofficial capital of the Prykarpattia region. Narodnyy Klub Veres Rivne ( uk, РНК «Верес») is a Ukrainian professional football club based in Rivne. The club competes in the Ukrainian Premier League, the top tier of Ukrainian football, after winning the 2020–21 Ukrainian First League. Their home stadium until 2017 was Avanhard Stadium. FC Polissya Zhytomyr
Polissya Zhytomyr is a Ukrainian football club based in Zhytomyr, Polissya. As of the 2020–21 season, it will play in the Ukrainian First League, the second tier of Ukrainian football, following promotion from the 2019–20 Ukrainian Second League. Their home were Spartak and Kolos stadiums. Since being admitted to the Ukrainian Second League, the club's current stadiums do not qualify for the competition. While the city's main arena under reconstruction, the club is forced to look for an alternative. FC Hirnyk Kryvyi Rih ( uk, Гірник Кривий Ріг) is a Ukrainian football club based in Kryvyi Rih. The club adapted its name in 2003 and originally as "Gornyak" (in Russian). Later the club's name was changed to Hirnyk (in Ukrainian). In August 2020, the main team was restructured as FC Kryvbas Kryvyi Rih, and U-19 team became the main team of Hirnyk.
