Süper Lig
The Süper Lig (, ''Super League''), officially known as Spor Toto Süper Lig for sponsorship reasons, is a Turkish professional league for association football clubs. It is the top-flight of the Turkish football league system and is run by the Turkish Football Federation. In the 2022–23 season, nineteen clubs compete, where a champion is decided and three clubs are promoted from, and relegated to the 1. Lig. The season runs from August to May, with each club playing 36 matches. Matches are played Friday through Monday. The competition was initially established in 1923. The league succeeded the Turkish Football Championship and the National Division, both being former top-level national competitions. The Süper Lig is currently 20th in the UEFA coefficient ranking of leagues based on club performances in European competitions over the last five years. Türk Telekom GSK is a sports club located in Ankara, Turkey. The club mostly referred incorrectly as Türk Telekomspor. The football team plays their home games in Ankara Türk Telekom Stadı in Ankara. The club was founded in 1954 as Telspor and its previous name was PTT, and its colors were yellow and black. PTT had played in the First Level. It also has a basketball team, Türk Telekom B.K., which plays in the Turkish Basketball League. Türk Telekomspor played Turkish Basketball League between 1966–1973 and 1991–1996 as PTT. TFF 2. Lig (Turkish Football Federation Second League), is the third level in the Turkish football league system. It was founded in the 2001–02 season with the name of ''Turkish Second League Category B'' as a continuation of the then second level division. Beykoz Spor Kulübü Derneği, today known for sponsorship reasons as TTNet Beykoz, is a Turkish sports club based in Beykoz, Istanbul. Their home arena is Beykoz Sport Hall. Beykoz was founded in 1908. İstanbulspor is a Turkish football and sports club founded by Istanbul High School students in 1926. In 2004–05 they were relegated from the Turkish Süper Lig (Super League) to TFF 1. Lig. Hacettepe Spor Kulübü ( en, Hacettepe Sports Club), commonly known as Hacettepe, is a Turkish professional Association football, football club located in Ankara. History Hacettepe Spor Kulübü was founded as Sanayi Barbarosspor in 1949. The club played in third division in the Turkish League System between the years 1968 and 1972.
