State President Of South Africa
The State President of the Republic of South Africa ( af, Staatspresident) was the head of state of South Africa from 1961 to 1994. The office was established when the country became a republic on 31 May 1961, albeit, outside the Commonwealth of Nations, and Queen Elizabeth II ceased to be Queen of South Africa. The position of Governor-General of South Africa was accordingly abolished. From 1961 to 1984, the post was largely ceremonial. After constitutional reforms enacted in 1983 and taking effect in 1984, the State President became an executive post, and its holder was both head of state and head of government. The State President was appointed by both Houses of the Parliament of South Africa (Senate of South Africa and the House of Assembly of South Africa) in the form of an electoral college. Wally Hammond
Walter Reginald Hammond (19 June 1903 – 1 July 1965) was an English first-class cricketer who played for Gloucestershire in a career that lasted from 1920 to 1951. Beginning as a professional, he later became an amateur and was appointed captain of England. Primarily a middle-order batsman, ''Wisden Cricketers' Almanack'' described him in his obituary as one of the four best batsmen in the history of cricket. He was considered to be the best English batsman of the 1930s by commentators and those with whom he played; they also said that he was one of the best slip fielders ever. Hammond was an effective fast-medium pace bowler and contemporaries believed that if he had been less reluctant to bowl, he could have achieved even more with the ball than he did. John "Shoes" Lesiba Moshoeu (18 December 1965 – 21 April 2015) was a South African football player who was part of the South African team that won the 1996 African Cup of Nations. He played as an attacking midfielder. Shoes, as he was best known to fans, was born in Ga Mashashane, Limpopo and grew up in Diepkloof, Soweto. He played for Blue Whales in Diepkloof. Henry Honiball
Henry William Honiball (born 1 December 1965) is a South African former professional rugby union footballer. He usually played at fly-half and sometimes as a centre. Honiball played for early in his career, but is best known for his time with Natal and the Sharks. Towards the end of his career he had a spell with English club Bristol. He won 35 caps for South Africa from 1993 to 1999, during the early post-apartheid era. Biography Honiball had a very expansive running game which brought the loose-forwards into the game quickly. Augustine Makalakalane (born 15 September 1963) is a South African former footballer who played at both professional and international levels as a midfielder. Makalakalane played club football in South Africa for Jomo Cosmos, Mamelodi Sundowns and Wits University and was the first South African to play in Switzerland having represented FC Zürich and FC Baden. He also earned 14 caps for the South African national side between 1992 and 1996, and was part of the squad that won the 1996 African Cup of Nations. Angela Thoko Didiza (born 2 June 1965) is a South African politician currently serving as Minister of Agriculture, Land Reform and Rural Development. Yvonne Chaka Chaka (born Yvonne Machaka on 18 March 1965) is a South African singer, songwriter, actress, entrepreneur, humanitarian and teacher.
