Western Athletic Conference
The Western Athletic Conference (WAC) is an NCAA Division I conference. The WAC covers a broad expanse of the western United States with member institutions located in Arizona, California, New Mexico, Utah, Washington (state), Washington, and Texas. Due to most of the conference's College football, football-playing members leaving the WAC for other affiliations, the conference discontinued football as a sponsored sport after the 2012–13 season and left the NCAA's NCAA Division I Football Bowl Subdivision, Football Bowl Subdivision (formerly known as Division I-A). The Battle of the Brothers is the name given to the Utah–Utah State football rivalry. It is an American college football rivalry between the Utah Utes of the University of Utah and Utah State Aggies from Utah State University. Utah leads the series 79–29–4. The rivalry began November 25, 1892, when Utah State (then known as Utah Agricultural College) defeated Utah 12-0 in the first game for both programs. For much of its history, whenever the two teams played in Salt Lake City, it was held on Thanksgiving Day. However, this aspect of the rivalry ended in 1958. Since 1959, no meeting has been played on Thanksgiving Day; and more recently, the meeting has been held in September as one of the first games of the season for both teams. Logan is a city in Cache County, Utah, United States. The 2020 census recorded the population was 52,778. Michie Stadium
Michie Stadium is an outdoor football stadium on the campus of the U.S. Military Academy in West Point, New York. In their second year under head coach Paul Dietzel, the Cadets compiled a 7–3 record and outscored all opponents by a combined total of 177 to 97.
