The 1963 Scottish League Cup Final was played on 26 October 1963 at Hampden Park in Glasgow and it was the final of the 18th Scottish League Cup competition. Ralph Brand
Ralph Laidlaw Brand (born 8 December 1936) is a Scottish retired footballer, who played as a striker for Rangers, and latterly, Manchester City, Sunderland, Raith Rovers and Hamilton Academical. Playing career Born and raised in Edinburgh, Brand had family connections to Glasgow as his uncle resided in Springburn, was a Rangers supporter and worked in the Govan shipyards. He signed for Rangers in 1952 after impressing manager Bill Struth whilst playing in a schoolboy international against England at Wembley; Struth signed him on a provisional contract in the summer of that year. Having spent time on loan with juvenile side Slateford Athletic and Junior team Broxburn Athletic, in 1954 he turned professional and made his debut for Rangers on 6 November against Kilmarnock, scoring two goals in a 6–0 win. Allan McGraw
Allan McGraw (29 July 1939 – 1 March 2023) was a Scottish football player and manager, most associated with Greenock Morton. Playing career McGraw started his playing career with Greenock Morton. Playing in Division Two he set a Scottish record for most goals scored in a season. He finished as Morton's top goalscorer in five consecutive seasons, and appeared in the 1963 League Cup final. He helped the club to promotion to the top flight in 1964, having scored a record 61 goals in 52 appearances that season. It was the first time Morton had played at that level since 1952, but two seasons later the Ton were relegated back to the Second Division. Following that relegation, Morton sold McGraw to Hibernian for £15,000 (£ today). He scored eight goals in his first 11 appearances for Hibs, including wins against Hearts and Rangers. Morris John Stevenson (16 April 1943 – 22 July 2014) was a Scottish footballer who played as a forward. Career Stevenson began his professional career in 1960 with Motherwell and played in twelve league matches over a two-year period. A 1962 move to Hibernian saw him feature twenty times but leave within a year for Morton. It was with Morton that Stevenson would spend half his career and make the majority of his career appearances, playing in over 160 league matches and scoring twenty-six goals. After six years at Cappielow, Stevenson moved south to Luton Town but played just once and quickly returned north, this time with Dundee United.
