Yugoslav First Basketball League
The First Federal Basketball League () was the highest tier level men's professional club basketball competition in SFR Yugoslavia. Founded in 1945 and folded in 1992 (1991-92 Winer Broker YUBA League), it was run by the Basketball Federation of Yugoslavia. With a total of 16 European-wide trophy winners and 11 finalists, the Yugoslav First Basketball League was one of the strongest European national domestic basketball leagues of all time. Although each of the former Yugoslav countries have their own national domestic leagues, the six nations also now take part in the ABA League (commonly known as the Adriatic League), which was founded in 2001; and which is, the closest basketball league in existence today, that is similar to the former Yugoslav Basketball League. 1962–63 FIBA European Champions Cup
The 1962–63 FIBA European Champions Cup was the sixth season of the European top-tier level professional basketball club competition FIBA European Champions Cup (now called EuroLeague). It was won by CSKA Moscow, after they beat Real Madrid in a three-legged EuroLeague Finals, after the two first games ended with an aggregate two-legged tie. CSKA won the third and decisive game, by a score of 99–80, and thus won its second European Champions Cup. Competition system 26 teams. Radivoj Korać
Radivoj Korać ( sr-cyrl, Радивој Кораћ; 5 November 1938 – 2 June 1969) was a Serbian and Yugoslav professional basketball player. He represented the Yugoslavia national basketball team internationally. Korać is well-known for holding the EuroLeague's all-time single-game scoring record (since 1958), at 99 points scored, in a game versus Alviks, during the 1964–65 season, and for once making 100 out of 100 free throws on a live television show in Belgium. Korać died in a car crash in 1969, at the age of 30, and FIBA Europe later established the European-wide third-tier level FIBA Radivoj Korać Cup, in his remembrance, in 1971. Korać was named one of FIBA's 50 Greatest Players in 1991. In 2002, the Basketball Federation of FR Yugoslavia named its top national domestic cup competition, the Radivoj Korać Cup, after him. Boris Kristančič
Boris Kristančič (November 21, 1931 – October 29, 2015) was a Slovenian basketball player and coach. He represented the Yugoslavia national basketball team internationally. Basketball career He spent most of his career at the KK Olimpija, AŠK Olimpija in Ljubljana in some cases both simultaneously as a player and as a coach during 1950s and 1960s. With his extensively assistance, the Olimpija celebrated the five of the six championship titles that they won in the framework of the Yugoslav First Basketball League. Kristančič was the first Slovene basketball player who played for a foreign club. Ivo Daneu (born 6 October 1937) is a retired Slovenian professional basketball player and coach. During his playing career, at a height of 1.91 m (6'3") tall, he played at the point guard and shooting guard positions. He represented the Yugoslavia national basketball team internationally. He was voted the Best Sportsperson of the Year in Yugoslavia, in 1967, and the Slovenian Sportsperson of the Year, in 1969. He was named one of FIBA's 50 Greatest Players in 1991. He was enshrined into the FIBA Hall of Fame, in 2007. He was inducted into the Slovenian Athletes Hall of Fame, in 2012. Košarkarski klub Olimpija ( en, Olimpija Basketball Club) was a men's professional basketball club based in Ljubljana, Slovenia. Olimpija has won 23 National League championships, including eight consecutive titles between 1992 and 1999.
