Woody Hayes
Wayne Woodrow Hayes (February 14, 1913 – March 12, 1987) was an American football player and coach. He served as the head coach at Denison University (1946–1948), Miami University in Oxford, Ohio (1949–1950), and Ohio State University (1951–1978), compiling a career college football record of 238 wins, 72 losses, and 10 ties. He was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame as a coach in 1983. 1963 Boston Patriots Season
The 1963 Boston Patriots season was the franchise's 4th season in the American Football League. In their first season at Fenway Park, switching from Nickerson Field, the Patriots hovered around the .500 mark all season, and were in position to win the Eastern Division title outright with a victory on their final game. The 35–3 road loss to the defending champion Kansas City Chiefs allowed the Buffalo Bills catch up and both finished at 7–6–1, which required a divisional playoff game, the AFL's first. The 1962 Oregon Webfoots football team represented the University of Oregon during the 1962 NCAA University Division football season. In their twelfth season under head coach Len Casanova and fourth as an independent, the Webfoots compiled a 6–3–1 record and outscored their opponents 229 to 156. Three home games were played on campus at Hayward Field in Eugene and one at Multnomah Stadium in Portland.
