SC Tasmania 1900 Berlin was a German football club based in the Berlin district of Neukölln. History The club was founded as ''Rixdorfer TuFC Tasmania 1900'' on 2 June 1900. It is believed the founders of the club were about to migrate to Australia at the end of the 19th century, so they named their club after their shared desired destination Tasmania. In 1965, Berlin's only Bundesliga side, Hertha BSC, had its license revoked and was relegated for breaking the league's player salary rules. The German Football Association wanted to keep a club in the city of Berlin for political reasons and this led to one of the strangest episodes in the Bundesliga's history. Both Karlsruher SC and FC Schalke 04 tried to avoid being demoted by laying claim to Hertha's place. Niedersachsenstadion (, ) is a football stadium in Hanover, Lower Saxony, Germany, which is home to football club Hannover 96. The original 86,000-capacity stadium was completed in 1954 and has since been rebuilt several times for various major football events. Today it has 49,000 covered seats. Arnold 'Pico' Schütz (19 January 1935 – 14 April 2015) was a German footballer who played as a midfielder or defender. Bernhard Klodt
Bernhard "Berni" Klodt (26 October 1926 – 23 May 1996) was a German football player. He was born in Gelsenkirchen-Bismarck; the goalkeeper Hans Klodt was his brother. Football career In his club career, Klodt played mainly for FC Schalke 04. He debuted in the senior team of the club on 17 January 1943 at the age of 16, where he scored a goal in a 6–2 victory over Westfalia Herne. Aged 36, Klodt ended his career in 1963 with the start of the Bundesliga. In his last game, he scored the only goal in Schalke's 1–0 victory against the Bulgarian national team on 18 June 1963. He played in 330 Oberliga West games in which he scored 129 goals. Between 1950 and 1959, Klodt played 19 times and scored three goals for the Germany national football team. Werner Ipta (18 March 1942 – 22 February 2019) was a football player who was active in the Bundesliga in Germany from 1968 to 1970. Career His debut was on Christmas Day in 1960 with FC Schalke 04, where he contributed to the 3–1 win against SF Hamborn 07. He continued to play the rest of the year and had a total of three seasons with the Royal Blues. During these years, Schalke placed third, second and sixth. He scored a total of 16 goals and achieved 49 caps for Schalke. He then played for Bayern Munich in the Regionalliga Süd for one year, contributing to their second-place finish. He then moved to the Grasshoppers Zurich. After two years in Switzerland he came back to Germany to spend his remaining career in Berlin. FK Pirmasens is a German association football club in Pirmasens, Rhineland-Palatinate. The team was formed as the football section of the gymnastics and sports club TV Pirminia Pirmasens in 1903 and became independent in 1914. They took on their current name in 1925.
