Eerste Divisie
The Eerste Divisie (, en, First Division) is the second-highest tier of football in the Netherlands. It is linked with the top-level Eredivisie and with the third-level Tweede Divisie via promotion/relegation systems. It is also known as the Keuken Kampioen Divisie due to sponsorship, while previously it was known as Jupiler League for the same reason. History The Eerste Divisie consists of 20 clubs, who play each other in a double round-robin league, with each club playing the other club home and away. Each club plays every other club once in the first half of the season before the league takes a winter break around the Christmas and New Year's holiday season. The second half of the season sees the same fixtures as the first half, with the stadiums changed, although the two halves are not played in the same order. AGOVV Apeldoorn
AGOVV () is a Dutch association football club based in Apeldoorn. It was established on 25 February 1913. The club played in professional football from 1954 to 1971 and from 2003 to 2013. AGOVV's male first squad plays in 2022–23 in the Tweede Klasse. History Beginnings (1913–1954) The club was founded on 25 February 1913 – by the teetotalers singing club – as AGOSV, which stood for '' Apeldoornse Geheel Onthoudersvoetbalvereniging Steeds Voorwaarts'' , after having experienced firsthand the drinking abuse after sports matches on Sundays. When the club joined the football association of Gelderland, the club had to change its name, because there was another club called ''Steeds Voorwaarts''. The name was changed to AGOVV, or Apeldoornse Geheel Onthouders Voetbalvereniging, which means ''Apeldoorn football club for teetotalers''. Enschedese Boys
Enschedese Boys is a non-league football club from the Dutch city Enschede. In 1965 the professional team of ''De Boys'' merged with their rivals Sportclub Enschede to FC Twente (both clubs continued in non-league football). Currently ''Enschedese Boys'' plays in the Vierde Klasse (8th tier in Dutch football). History ''Enschedese Boys'' was founded on 20 April 1906 by a couple of teenagers under the name ''Lotisco''. When the club joined the Twentsche Voetbalbond (FA of Twente) a year later, the name was changed to ''Excelsior''. In 1910 the club would get its current name. ''Enschedese Boys'' soon became the most popular team under the working class of Enschede. Alkmaar Zaanstreek (), better known as AZ Alkmaar or simply AZ (), is a Dutch professional football club from Alkmaar and the Zaan district. FC Wageningen (before 1978 ''Wageningen'' and ''WVV Wageningen'') was a Dutch football club which was founded on 27 August 1911., The club played its matches in the Wageningse Berg stadium. Its first success came on 18 June 1939, when the team won the KNVB Cup by defeating PSV Eindhoven (2–1 after extra-time) in Arnhem. Nine years later, on 19 June 1948, FC Wageningen once again won the Cup, this time by a win over DWV. The club went bankrupt in 1992, and played its last match in May 1992 against NAC Breda. SV SVV, short for Sportvereniging Schiedamse Voetbal Verenigingen, is a Dutch football club from Schiedam. Founded in 1904, the club won the Dutch national football title in 1949. In 1991, the professional branch of SVV and neighbouring Dordrecht'90 merged to form FC Dordrecht. SVV continues to play in amateur leagues. Helmond Sport is a professional association football club based in the city of Helmond, North Brabant, Netherlands, that competes in the Eerste Divisie, the second tier of the Dutch football league system. The club was founded on 27 June 1967, as a breakaway from the local professional club Helmondia '55, which had gone bankrupt. SC 't Gooi (Sport Club Het Gooi) is a sports club from Hilversum, Netherlands. The club was established on 19 October 1905 as Hilversumsche Voetbal Club Rapiditas, abbreviated as HVV 't Gooi. RBC, commonly known under its previous official name RBC Roosendaal, is a football club based in Roosendaal, Netherlands. RBC currently plays in the seventh-tier Tweede Klasse after a bankruptcy in 2011, restarting the club in tenth tier Vijfde Klasse. Sport Vereniging Limburgia was a Dutch football/sports club from the city of Brunssum, Netherlands. It has been renamed BSV Limburgia. History SV Limburgia was founded on 9 May 1920 by the Limburgian coal mines, under the name ''Rhenania''. In 1927 the club moved to Park Limburgia situated along the Venweg and was renamed ''Sportvereniging Staatsmijn Hendrik'' (Sportsclub Coalmine Hendrik). On 14 July 1936, during a general assembly, the name was changed to ''Limbur Between 1925 and 1939 Limburgia played in the second (regional) division.
